Went there as a couple for a pocket tango show. I was pretty hungry so I decided to order some stuffed mushrooms and a steak filet ( heart of the tenderloin) with a cassis cream. The very expensive mushrooms ( only five small ones) were well done and tasty,The meat was awful. Had to return it. Very expensive, hard and tastless seven small pieces of meat on a cream. put in a small pot.For me its not a restaurant, but just a regular, expensive and noise bar.

The main course was a papardelle in a light cream mushroom sauce with slices of filet mignon. Also, another ´creative´ option was tagliolini with slices of cod fish in a tomato sauce. Both of them well served and well cooked, the was ´pasta al dente´. The menu may be short of more options of sauces. Good service, nicely decorated, good location with free parking options by night. It is recommended, but if you´re lucky to find it with few other guests, you´re likely to enjoy it more.

Thereâs no doubt: Emporio Paraiso is the best Italian place in the greater Belo Horizonte area. Excellence in food, wine and staff. As the name itself gives away, it is an Emporium where you can shop for all kinds of cheese and cold cuts, olive oil, caponata, bread, wine, among many other Italian specialties. The winery has a wide variety of bottles and itâs very dynamic, so make sure you ask for help to find out about new arrivals and specials. Choosing to dine there is also a wonderful option, since itâs the kind of place you feel right at home. The owners are always there and will make sure of that. Enjoy!!

The Pizzaria Olegario is a modern and cozy house, which is divided into three extremely pleasant atmosphere environments. The restaurant is renowned for its pizzas thin pasta, baked in wood stoves, with special flavors and quality ingredients. This is the
In the middle of a disappointing run in with the associated hotel (separate review) we stopped in for Pizza. The Pizza was extremely good (as was the beer). Initially the order came out incorrect (with onions) and although we felt we could deal with it as is - the server insisted on getting it right - and they did (and quickly). Overall excellent atmosphere, service and food.Hello ! Thank you for your evaluation, for us it is very important to know the opinion and satisfaction of our customers. We were glad your experience was pleasant. Come back, it will always be a pleasure to serve you again!

We have been to Vecchio Sogno twice and both meals have been wonderful. This past visit 5 of us enjoyed an unforgettable Brazilian-Italian experience, featuring very good service, excellent food and wine, and their out-going and entertaining pianist. We love northern Italian food paired with northern Italian wine (in this case, a youngish Barbaresco) and we were not disappointed. Our French-Brazilian waiter did a very nice job, with a bit of assistance from the maitre d', walking us through the menu. Ivo Faria should be proud of his team - and his food. We had a diverse range of options and I hate to start listing how many I loved because that would force me to prioritize. Suffice it to say, that I think this might be my favorite restaurant in Brazil, so far. And in the end we spent some fun time with their pianist who entertained us for about 30 minutes after our wonderful meal.

I was in Belo Horizonte for business, staying at a hotel connected to this restaurant. We pretty much ate every meal at this restaurant as the food is so good and the staff so friendly. My colleagues and I don't speak Portuguese, but they have an English version of their Dinner menu, and all though their lunch menu is not in English, the waiter brought one of the hotel staff over to help translate for us - so sweet! :) Great salads and risotto dishes - everything my colleagues and I ate at this restaurant we enjoyed! Definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to return!

Casa gusto is all about what good and simple local grown food should be
My meal started with a very original bruschetta of waves of grilled zucchini on a base of creamed melanzane (eggplant) and prosciutto. This had a perfect balance of flavours. My main was nut-encrusted pescado with fresh herbs and garden salad (from the restaurant's own garden) which I followed with dessert. This also had interesting flavour and texture combinations with banana marshmallow served with flan and semifreddo. This is Italian food with a difference served in a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant has several different 'room' spaces giving a sense of intimacy. A range of wines, beers and fresh fruit juice is also offered.
