At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We donât do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. Weâre all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Spend the day visiting Colchester Zoo and
I visited Zizzi with my friend on the 23rd august! Our waitress was absolutely lovely even tho i'm not 100% sure of the name it was Emily, Amelia? Hadn't been there too long but she was fantastic! Quick with everything we ordered made sure we were OK and had everything that we needed. The food was sooooo good! Its so hard to find decent vegan food anywhere and honestly it was so yummy and to be able to view a whole menu without picking things out was so helpful! Also got talking to Rebecca towards the end of our meal and she is a credit to your company, so friendly and informative about things! along with our lovely waitress we had a very wonderful evening

Authentic Italian Cafe bringing the finest Panini's, Sandwiches, Pasta,Salads special dishes to Colchester. Join us for breakfast & lunch and all snacks in between. Using super fresh ingredients and no compromise on serving the tastiest italian and britis
This is a breath of fresh air when compared to the same old rubbish that the high street chains serve up with their giant buckets of average tasteless coffee. The owner Lee is passionate about what he produces and the quality comes through in his food and drinks. I had a wonderful lasagna which was a recipe from Leeâs Great Grandmother, which she used to make for the family many moons ago. Passed down to Lee it certainly has stood the test of time and along with Paniniâs and great coffee. My daily pilgrimage was something that I enjoyed whilst staying in Colchester. One things for sure I shall return when Iâm next up in the area and I hope that the good people of Colchester realise what a Gem they have on their doorstep.

ASK Italian in Colchester is a place for great food and warm service. Think fresh bread made to tear and share. A glass of fine wine worth deserving of your time. Delicious main dishes prepared the traditional way. Everything we know and love about Italia
The food was good as always in an Ask Italian. What's special about this restaurant is its lovely garden at the back. The perfect place to enjoy dinner on a summer's evening. Thankfully, the staff did stop some children from running around playing a loud game of chase just when they were becoming boisterous and annoying.

I dragged my husband into this Restaurant as it was 32 degrees outside and they were air conditioned...I had eaten at another Carluccios in Grand Central, Birmgham in the past so knew what to expect, hubby did not! Our drinks order was taken promptly and then we decided to go for a main meal as I certainly didn't want to cook in this heat when we arrived back at our holiday cottage. He opted for the Spaghetti Carbonara and I had the Lasagne with a green side salad. All dishes came promptly and the mixture of Green leaves, dressing and Parmigiano Reggiano enhanced the pasta dishes delighfully ( I told my husband the lettuce would help him digest the carbs quicker). Although both meals were demolished (he said it had very tasty bacon bits) we couldn't leave without dessert, it would've been rude!! I had the ever delighful Tiramisu and hubby had the Tarta Di Choccolata - a sort of lighter than air, rich chocolate cake made without flour. He was over the moon, I now need to source an equivalent recipe to attempt once we are home!! As an NHS worker, I showed my Blue Light card and received the 20% off food discount which equated to a free dessert and half drink. Friendly waiting staff and professional looking kitchen. All in all a resounding success, we will be back for more, just a little closer to home.Hello Heather H, thank you - we really appreciate your feedback. We're looking forward to your next visit with us. Thanks

Visited with a group of friends and we were all very disappointed to say the least. The waitress was extremely unhelpful, she advised us we could not add a requested extra topping even though the topping requested was on other pizzas on the menu?? It took over an hour for our pizzas to arrive and when they did we were then completely forgotten about while, it appeared, the waitress went for a break!! We weren't asked how our meals were or if we wanted any further drinks, desserts etc. It wasn't even busy so no excuse....... Very poor and will not be returning. Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback on our service.I'm sorry to see that you weren't taken care of throughout your meal, all of your comments have been passed on to the Colchester Staff Members to ensure that this doesn't happen again. As an independent business, we strive to perform well on all aspects of service, and I am really sorry that we didn't deliver on this occasion. We are constantly training our staff to give the best customer care possible, and I will be putting a big emphasis on table checks going forward. As I said, customer care is really important to us. If you could contact me on: [email protected], I'll be able to help rectify the problem further. Thank you, Sophie

First class family run Italian restaurant with accent on fresh fish. Quite inspired cooking and marvellous welcome
Iâve lived in Colchester for years, and Iâve always walked by here, on the way to a night out, thinking âmust try that placeâ and have never gotten around to it, until my friend came to Colchester. The food is absolutely divine, the service is accommodating and excellent, and itâs just a really lovely atmosphere. AND itâs family run and the prices are very reasonable. Donât even bother with chain Italian restaurants, this place is far superior.

Lots of options to choose from including nice range of fish dishes. Pasta and gnocchi great as was the mixed meat platter. Small out door area to enjoy on a warm day. Nice venue just off the high street.

Welcome to Il Padrino (and to save you looking it up, it means The Godfather) - the Italian restaurant which has taken Colchester by storm since opening in May 2013. Mouth-watering food, a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and great value for money - everyth
An authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Colchester. Efficient service. Excellent value. Good range of pasta dishes and risotto with more expensive meat and fish dishes also available. My wife particularly enjoys the lasagne because it is free of garlic. Our own slight criticism is that the fruit juices are not good quality. Desert includes a very nice tiramisu and delicious panda cotta.

Italian Restaurant New Opening Homemade Icecrean,Pasta,Pizza
Excellent service from the moment arrived until the moment we reluctantly departed. Food was delicious, even my rather fussy daughter enjoyed everything. The fish cakes were sublime. The host was charming and entertaining, the chef was concerned that you enjoyed his creations, he really didnât need to worry it was all exceptional. An absolute gem of a restaurant, see you again soon.
