We visited Veroâs in December 18 and held our comments. What has happed? Change of chef/owners? Salads historically had been ordered large/ small. Salads now single serving.Pizzas had been 14 inches, down to 11.We miss the former Veroâs. Hoping they return. Two stars? Servers still amazing. Thank you Shawna and #4.

They have done a great job with the patio out back. It is light and airy but completely enclosed if necessary. The food was wonderful. We didn't have the pizza but saw lots of take out orders go by. It was a little slow but we were not in a hurry.

Wonderful old fashioned pizza joint right out of the 1950s. They could film a movie here -- little tables, checkerboard oilcloth tablecloths etc. But none of that matters unless the food is good and the pizza and salads here are SUPERB -- just the very best, nothing has changed since I was a college student in U. Circle a zillion years ago. This is the real thing, an old fashioned genuinely Italian pizza joint with concessions (except prices) to modern fashions. The pizzas are beyond delicious -- pure perfection! light wonderful crusts -- superb toppings -- good value too (about $9.99 for a large plus toppings). The antipasto salads are the best in town -- add the Italian tuna, it's worth it -- the bread is superb (I suspect Prest's down the street) -- light perfect Italian bread with a crisp crust. DO NOT MISS THE GARLIC TOAST, it is to die for. Order the 5 piece, it's only $2 more and you will absolutely eat it all.I have to admit I adore the pizza, garlic toast and antipasto salad SO much....I've never managed to try the pasta. I do see others ordering it and it looks very good. Maybe next time.Several of the established Little Italy eateries are down at the heels and not serving good food anymore. Mama Santo is a clear exception -- it is EVERYTHING it ever was and more so, an oasis of Italian perfection in an increasingly gentrified Little italy.DO NOT MISS THIS, especially if you find yourself in University Circle.

The food is always very good, but any time the Chef uses Truffle, the food is great. When we last visited the pasta with truffle was fantastic. Also great was the simple bean soup. You definitely should start with those on your first visit. Service was excellent and prices moderate.

The six of us shared a pizza appetizer, the brussell sprout app and the fries with truffles...all were superbly done. Most of us had some sort of fish taco wrapped in lettuce leaves. There was plenty for each serving and quite delicious. One of our friends had a vegan Japanese dish with tofu and the flavors were phenomenal. I will return, only this time I hope to sit outside. The only down side were the acoustics which made it difficult to carry on conversations.

What a lovely setting the garden makes for a romantic evening. Carol, our waitress was dutiful without being too over attentive. My wife and I split each dish and enjoyed every bite. It made our trip to Cleveland magic!

Great Pizza made with fresh ingredients. The wedding soup is awesome too. The parking lot is small but they also do take-out. They are close to John Carroll University which make is a great place to grab a pizza for study times.

We caught it just right before the Friday night rush hit. Chicken Picatta was excellent and I loved the Gnocchi. A lot of food for the price.

We were in town for my nephew's graduation from CWU and my sister-in-law made reservations at their favorite Italian place in Little Italy. The small space was hopping on this very warm Saturday night. Our waiter was not the best since he was inattentive and his demeanor sour. Unfortunately for me it set the tone for the evening. My pasta dish with shrimp was just OK - definitely not worth the price. My wife salmon dish was good but nothing to rave about. The rest of the meal was forgettable.I am guessing there are better Italian places for the money along this street.

Came here based on reviews. Holy gravy this place is the real deal. The pizza sauce is so homemade you can taste it. My cavatelli taste just like my mom would make. And the meatballs, soft and flavorful. You must must give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
