Things to do in Charlton

The pizza tasted like cardboard with ketchup on it and greasy! Some one suggested it to my friend and I to try while staying at the Southbridge Conference Center. I'm so glad that when we told the hotel shuttle about our visit he took us to Enrico's in Sturbridge! Talk about yummy!! I'm so glad I didn't think all MA pizza tasted like Central St. pizza and gave another place a try.

I am a local, and have seen a number of different pizza places. This place is so very good that it is one of my favorites! Amazing calzones- my favorite is the broccoli. Pizzas are absolutely HUGE, a party size feeds 6 people easy. Tony, the owner, blots the pizza with paper towels when it comes out of the oven so it is not greasy.Things to know- There are limited times that they allow you to use a credit card since it uses their phone line, so plan to bring cash. There is an ATM in the same plazaThe restroom is in the back- you have to walk through the kitchen, past the pizza oven, so be careful. I make sure my kids hit the bathroom at home and bring hand sanitizer for when meals come out.If you let them know ahead of time they will set up a table for you. Great place!

Came out for the Prime Rib special. No Prime Rib at 7pm. Ordered our regular meal. 45 minutes sitting no meal. Enough said.

We were SO hungry and knew we'd be doing some post-nuptials imbibing so it was essential to get some food into our stomachs (long car trip) before watching two wonderful people get hitched. So we called Enrico's (recommended at the front desk) and ordered a pie (only one size is served; large) and ordered our pie with extra cheese, green pepper, and pepperoni. Five minutes later, in the hotel, we agreed to have one slice each MAX; we didn't want to spoil our appetite. Two-and-a-half slices EACH later, we agreed that the PIZZA WAS SO GOOD, as if it was the pizza's fault that we exhibited such a total lack of self-control. Well, it was the pizza's fault, and the next time we're in the area we're going to stop at Enrico's and give those pizzas a piece of our mind. Via our mouths. Then our stomachs. Then our... but we don't want to go there! YUMMERS!

This is an underrated restaurant in my opinion. I used to like Rovezzi's but they have really gone downhill in the last year, in my opinion. Avellino, on the other hand, has been steady. They have a great dining room, with lots of windows, that is delightful. Their food is solid and the wine list is pretty good. Our waiter was obviously a professional waiter -- he was great! I definitely recommend Avellino.

When I go to Southbridge on business I make it a point to stop in this place. The food and service is always the same. Awesome. I have had both the pizza and subs and salads. All is great. You can't go wrong. If you want great pie, go here. They'll take care of you.

Heard a few people talking about this place so my friend and I decided to try it. It was very crowded but I had called an made reservations so we were seated immediately. The waitress was very nice got us drinks right away and we asked her to leave us alone for a while because we were catching up, which she did. we finally ordered and I ordered the veal parmigiana and my friend ordered a chicken dish which she wanted the kitchen to leave out a couple of things, artichokes and peppers, but they were not able to as the chicken was already stuffed, My veal was a little bland and the linguine it was served with was not very hot and very little sauce. my friend's dish was a stuffed chicken sliced into three pieces and drowned in sauce, Overall, the best part of our meal was the friendly waitress.

This is a convenient restaurant to the nearby Fairfield Inn. The restaurant is HUGE, with quite an eclectic decor: shelves and shelves of not-so-new books. I wonder if anyone actually pulls one out to read? My wife had the lobster mac 'n cheese. You needed a microscope, not a magnifying glass, to find the lobster. I had a salad bar meal, including the watery onion soup. The offerings of salad were minimal, with almost nothing on the sweetish side

Four of us stopped in about 5:30 on a Saturday night. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. Our waitress was attentive and cordial. I had the days special which was shelled mussels with spaghetti and garlic l& olive oil sauce. It was fantastic, with more mussels that you would believe. Two of the ladies had the chicken parm which both liked very much. My pal had haddock with pasta in the olive oil and garlic sauce. Everyone agreed the meal was terrific. We also had a smelt appetizer that was excellent. As always I highly recommend this place if you want good Italian.

Went there Saturday nights night and there was a great band playing (Joyco). Fun time! All the food was great. The Parmigiana dishes were all excellent!! The place was packed which says alot for the food and entertainment, so make a reservation or youâll stand there for a while waiting for a table! Service was awesome! Just a great place!
