It is the third most populous city in the state, with a 2005 census population of 310,413. The municipality for which the city serves as municipal seat, had a population of 415,869. The city is located in the geographic center of the municipality, which has an areal extent of 553.18 km² (213.58 sq mi) and includes many smaller outlying communities, the largest of which are San Miguel Octopan, Rincón de Tamayo and San Juan de la Vega.

A famous pizzeria in Celaya with about 6 locations, though I´m not sure why. I ate at what I think was the original one and the pizza is ok but there is better to be found. No need to return.

En mi opinión y a diferencia de otros Italiannis, éste se destaca por ser un restaurante muy grande y muy amplio, ideal para grupos grandes, reuniones de trabajo y sobretodo ocasiones especiales.La ubicación es muy buena y no tiene problemas de estacionamiento aunque el servicio le falta un poquito para que sea excelente en atención y es que a casi un año de inaugurado, necesitan pulirse más en ese sentido pero en general el lugar está muy bien.Me agrada que tienen diferentes opciones para disfrutar de tu comida, ya sea en la terraza al aire libre en la parte de arriba y ahà mismo en la parte de arriba, hay un anexo que está muy amplio y muy privado, perfecto si vienes con muchas personas o en plan de reunión de negocios, puedes pedir que te instalen ahà aunque si tardan un poco más en atenderte arriba. También hay opciones ideales abajo para un ambiente más cálido y acogedor, en la barra junto al horno de piedra, en la cava junto al bar para mayor privacidad y romanticismo, muy privado o algún lugar con vista al boulevard en ventanales grandes (aunque no recomendable los lugares que tienen vista hacia la calle nieto Piña, ya que después de las 5pm, te da el sol y terminaran privándote de la vista porque ponen unas enormes cortinas).En sÃ, es un lugar muy funcional, el menú es extenso pero mi platillo favorito es el Salmone al Limone sin duda, lo mejor.Les falta a los meseros tener la iniciativa de proponerte el maridaje a la hora de ordenar tu platillo pero en general, todo está muy bien ya que en Celaya, hacen falta más lugares de este tipo.

What is the best steak in the area....BC? California Prime Rib? San Telmo? Trapio? Nope, hands down the best, THE BEST in the area is La Traviata! The service makes you feel like royalty.
