We booked this restaurant because the reviews were good. We arrived and realised that there was no menu. We ordered the wine and just at the right time the first antipasti arrived. What we didn't know is that 3 more antipasti were to follow. After that 2 primi and 1 secondi. The food was so delicious that we didn't ask what was coming next because we wanted to enjoy the surprise. The pace between one dish and another was perfect. The meal ended with a choice of desserts. What a great place few min drive from Alba. The view front the restaurant in daylight must be stunning. The house itself is beautiful. Lo consiglio con piacere. Il servizio e' perfetto.

What a treat! While out touring the wine country, we stopped in for a "quick bite" for lunch. But this is Italy, and "quick" turned into a delightful two-hour respite. We enjoyed a lovely array of fresh food, wine, and coffee. The service was good, the restaurant nicely appointed, even chic, clean, and the food was plentiful and tasty. We ordered the mixed antipasti (which included the popular raw ground beef, carne cruda), almost more than we could finish. We were the only Americans in the trattoria (we like that). Highly recommend this restaurant.

The dining room is a bit daunting being very large and probably used for functions as it must be the largest dining space in this quiet little village. However, go to the far end and the large picture windows provide a splendid view over Alba and the Piedmont hills.Service was provided by just one lady who turned out to be the wife of the chef. There was no written menu but Signora guided us through the few things that the chef was preparing for that evening - at least we knew everything would be freshly cooked. There were three starters and Signora said we could try reduced versions of all three. This we did and all three were splendid and not particularly small for being "reduced". We then had a prima piatti pasta by which time, when Signora came to take our order for a main course we were pretty full. So we elected to just have a dessert - no problem.Signora also knew her wines and we had a very good local red at a very fair price.Throughout, the Signora was charming and helpful and her husband's cooking was very good. So, thoroughly to be recommended.

This restaurant is pretty small in size but it is worth visiting. The service was very friendly. We got appetizers on the house. All the dishes were well prepared and very tasty. Wines were very affordable and of decent quality. Good value for the money you spend here!

The restaurant's young chef Gabriella is above the wine cellar Massucco Brothers, surrounded by their vineyards in Castagnito Roero: her enthusiasm and passion for the typical products of Piedmont renewed offer traditional dishes in an elegant and at the
We went to this restaurant for nice Sunday lunch and were so happy with the beauty of the presentation of the food and the restaurant and its grounds, but most importantly with the extreme quality of food. We enjoyed the traditional Piedmont tastes, such as the beef carpaccio agnolotti with a Barolo reduction sauce as well as more innovative dishes such as the fig tempura with prosciutto and goat cheese mousse. Be sure to save room for dessert! In addition to great food, the wine was really excellent. We also reserved a table with a great view and we found it all to be reasonably priced. After lunch we headed down into the cantina and enjoyed a taste of Roero's best. The wine and local products were also very reasonably priced for their excellent quality.

We learned of this restaurant from our food and wine tour guide and the lovely guide at the Marchesi di Gresy wine tasting tour. They described it simply as âa place like no other!â How right they were! About a 30 Minute drive from Agliano Terme, we arrived and were greeted warmly and shown to a nice table. From that point on, wine and food started coming!! A huge magnum of white wine was placed on our table, followed by a huge magnum of red, both to be poured at our discretion. Courses of amazing food started coming! Puff pastry with prosciutto, homemade tajarin and agnolotti with ragu. We were told only the entree was by choice. The choices were delivered in Italian! I ordered the pork, which was described with a âpig snortâ and my husband the beef. The pork was actually pork medallions parmigiana. My husbandâs beef was beef cheeks with a HUGE femur from which to eat the marrow!! Dessert was a large chunk of nougat and a chisel and Binet, which is a Piedmontese chocolate and amaretti biscuit flan! Such a fun evening!! For some unknown reason, while my husband was in the restroom, the owner asked me, âBlanco o Rosso?â I replied, âRosso?â At which point he left and returned with a huge magnum of red wine, as a gift! The evening was well worth more than we paid and we were thrilled to have had this authentic dining experience!!

Wonderful dining experience not to be missed. Everything is perfect, from the food to the wine to the service. You pay 45 euros and you get antipasti, primi, secondo, dolce, different wines, coffee and digestive. Plenty to choose from. Prepare yourself for a great dining experience!

First visit since 2015 and during our absence chef Odero has been working a while at the castle of Guarene. Now back and ambitious as always. Food is firmly based on Piedmont traditions but inspired by France and Guide Michelin fans. The amuse and coffee sweets are among the best around, love them! Foi gras in various versions was super, as was the lamb. It is too easy to overeat though...

My pizza and Picky Partner's mixed grill were the largest serves we have ever had! We could only get through half and the kind staff packed the rest for us to take home. My pizza also had the most topping I have ever had. Overall, great - and generous - food, kind wait staff and great value. Definitely recommend and we would be happy to return.
