We have been a traditional family restaurant for over 20 years; offering local and national specialities with carefully selected seasonal ingredients. We are renowned for our famous first courses, meat and fish dishes and signature pizzas. We place partic
Very inexpensive lunch with wonderful hosts. The lasagna and gluten free pasta were both tasty and plentiful. Don't follow the map on Tripadvisor. Get close then find the pharmacy and it is next door. thanks for the review , we are very pleased to know that it has helped to make you pass a pleasant holidayAnd i will check the location on the map to correct it , thanks for pointing that out

Great place run by Sardinian guys. Prices are affordable, but the quality is well above expectations! Service is very good as well. Recommend ravioli with mushroom sauce, also seafood soup; the size of prawns is the biggest ever saw! Came once and returned during the same trip again (2 families travelling together decided unanimously) - was worth it.Grazie per la bella recensione, speriamo di rivedervi presto , tanti saluti

We were staying at this hotel on our last night of a touring holiday in Tuscany. The town of Cascina wasn't very appealing so we decided to eat at the hotel. With hindsight, we wish we had sent out for take out pizza. Having eaten at some excellent restaurants on our tour we had high expectations as this place had all sorts of foody awards. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The menu was very limited. Even more limited if you are vegetarian. We ordered a bottle of Chianti Classico only to be told they didn't have any - unbelievable. We were offered an alternative which was ok. Table service wasn't the best- we didn't want bottled water and told the waitress this. She brought bottled water. We sent it back. Th bread basket was unimaginative at best and not freshly baked. As there was such limited choices, I ordered 2 pasta dishes. One was spaghetti with vegetable sauce which was cooked to order - it was fine and I appreciated that they had accommodated my request. It went downhill from there. My second pasta course was ravioli with cream sauce and walnuts. Pasta ok, sauce so gloopy it was almost jelly. The other half had Pisan steak - this was cooked ok but proved to be chewy. It was accompanied by cold beans - not sure if these should have been hot or not? The desert of mini pie turned out to be what should have been a chocolate fondant but it was so over cooked it was solid. Not pleasant. Service at the table was stilted and we were conscious that other diners were left for long periods without being acknowledged or given menus to look at. It is unfortunate that this was our worst meal in Italy during this holiday and it was the most expensive. Would definitely not return and couldn't recommend based on our experience.Dear EmmaMontenegro,Thank you for your feedback.I must admit I was surprised to read such a negative feedback, but, as it is, I shall point out some more information about Villa Maya's reastaurant. Indeed, we have received several food awards as our products are always fresh and freshly cooked: while the waitress is settling the dining room the chef is cooking the bread in the oven. Very hard to understand how you could find it "unimaginative".The wine you were offered to replace the Chianti was higher in the range and was offered to you at the same price of the Chianti to make up for the lack of ordinary Chianti backup. Our menu offers two possibilities: fish courese and meat courses: in the "meat courses" section you can find vegeterian options as well and, as you've been proved, if a client asks for other alternatives the chef is always ready for suggesting something else, which is, again, prepared expressly. each of the two section offers: three starters, three first courses and three second courses. If you consider that everything in our kitchens is absolutely completely fresh, I can't find it "limited" to be fair.I would doubt of little restaurants who offer a very wide menu if I were you.Bottled water is a choice I personally made. We don't want to offer our clients tap water. The ravioli you had were, again, freshly hand made by the chef and the sauce as well. Our walnut sauce is creamy, not jelly. Now to the meat. I am very sorry but I find myself obliged to contradict you: we are very selective when it comes to buy the meat for our reastaurant and it is not chewy as it is chosen buy an awarded chef who has managed and worked in the best restaurants in Tuscany. Finally, to the service: you wrote you were "conscious that other diners were left (...)without menus". Again, not true. If you were really conscious you would have known that the guests without menus were clients that choose Villa Maya for their working stays and that they had already chosen the "half board" solution at the moment of their booking. Sorry to prove you wrong again. As I understand you won't come back again I can't add anything more but my best regards.

We stopped by chance, and we met an excellent bean soup, flavoury noodles "Antonio's way", and a real and most delicate crème caramel. Everybody else were there for barbecues, very attractive but over budget for us (45 kg ⬠Florentine). Price: medium, suitable with the quality (about ⬠10 a first course, ⬠15 for meat)

Not many customers on that weekday for lunch. Nice welcome and kind and efficient service. The waiter helped to translate the menu. We opted for a seafood platter and pasta with black truffle as starters, followed by pigeon and osso bucco as second dishes. Everything was excellent. Reasonable portions.Excellent deserts. Cost for two with two glasses of wine, coffee: 130EUR.

This restaurant was excellent, from the minute we arrived we knew we were going to have a great experience and we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful, service perfect and we all enjoyed our Sunday lunch. We wished we lived closer!

I had lunch with some friends last weekend at La Dea Partenope. Th restaurant is placed greatly for people travelling in Tuscany, especially for those going to the Pisa Airport. We had gnocchi alla Sorrentina, spaghetti walnuts, black olives, aglio, olio e peperoncino and tagliolini with shrimps. As a second dish we had polpo and friarelli. As a dessert we got pastiera. All the food was great the only problem is that there was only a waiter to attend all the customers (and there were 5/6 tables of 4 people each) so it took some time to have lunch, but the food was great and the price was not too expensive either. Great place!

The food was very good and the location was just right to enjoy Cascina's free entertainment.I can recommend the fillet steak in particular and the house red wine was very good.

We enjoyed an exceptional dining experience this evening at Aurora Taverna. The menu is in Italian so our waiter was great to translate.. Everything was perfect and the restaurant was spotlessly clean and lovely! We highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!
