We were returning to LA from TX and stopped here midway for dinner based on other TA reviews. We were with another couple, and all of us enjoyed our dinner tremendously. Service was friendly and efficient, and the ambiance was also pleasant. I was tired of heavy vacation dining, so I opted for the Eggplant Parmigiana and my husband the Veal Parmigiana. The other couple enjoyed their pizzas and the waiter obliged them with take-home boxes when they could not finish their dinners. Entrees included salad. The wine list was extensive and good as well. I had only one problem with this establishment. It was a little hard to find because it's set way back from the road in a small shopping center (thank God for Google Maps), and we missed it the first time. If you've never been there and are following the software, there is a "Chicken Salad" restaurant with a huge sign at the edge of the shopping strip. Turn in there, and head straight back to Antoni's. You'll be glad you did!Thank you so much for reviewing your experience, and for helping direct future diners to the restaurant! The Oil Center is a historic yet somewhat maze-like area and we appreciate that you made the effort to find us even after passing us up. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you! We hope you completed your journey home safely and that you'll look us up again next time you're in the area.

My wife and I spent Sunday at the Scott Boudin festival and were tired and hungry and several other area restaurants were closed so we tried Rochetta's. I asked for a custom plate, garlic and olive oil on pasta and they were able to make it. My wife had spaghetti and sauce. Dessert was bread pudding. All the items were good and the manger, Victoria, was walking the dining room and we had a conversation with her and learned more about the restaurant. We would return. Service by Alyse was excellent.

Carol, Kathy, and Therese from Mississippi spent five days at "La Petite Voie de Therese" (Cottage), and I decided that they would enjoy a great experience at Buck & Johnnie's. A good friend of mine, Joyce suggested that I bring the ladies on Thursday evening to listen to Yvette Landry, (Singer & Guitar Player) , Richard Comeaux ( Steel Guitar Player,) and a famous Cajun musician by the name of Warren Storm. Wow! We were treated with two glasses of wine, and the Cobb Salad, Margarita Pizza, and the pasta dishes were just perfect. The ladies of Mississippi were excited to climb up the steps of an old Chevy Car Garage and Service Station. (Buck & Johnnie's). I was so happy that the ladies had a marvelous time and hopefully, I will see them again. Of course, I will bring these lovely ladies from Mississippi back to Buck and Johnnie's where the food and musicgo very well with a glass of wine.

I was looking for something simple to eat without a lot of carbs, so I tried the Cheeseburger Salad. I was so pleasantly surprised when I tasted it! The burger was delicious. Also, the service was great. We had a very large group and they managed to meet all of our needs and keep us happy. They set us up in the back corner out of the way and it worked great. Thanks to Ariel and Heather for great service.

Dined with friends on their recommendation. Really nice new restaurant with good atmosphere. Not many diners. Ordered drinks. Took quite a while to bring out drinks with the explanation that there were issues with the bartender. (My wife ordered a glass of proseca and was brought a Cherry Proseca which she enjoyed but not what was ordered). The waiter was very attentive to the point of being pushy for us to order. I finally told her that we did not like being rushed. The food was hit and miss. The spinach and artichoke dip was excellent. We tried the lasagna soup which was interesting but a miss. It was like a thick lasagna flavored chili over noodles. I had the parmesan crusted tilapia--a miss. The fruit cobbler dessert was very good.
I've been in here about four or five times since they opened last Fall, always for takeout and usually enjoy a beer at the bar while waiting on an order. On the positive side, they have a very friendly and outgoing, mostly female, wait staff. As to the food it can be hit or miss. Our first pizza there was pretty forgettable (and disclaimer - Lafayette is NOT a good pizza town), but the couple we had after that, and the calzones, have been a lot better. Our most recent trip in was a pickup for a pizza, pasta and a side salad; $2 for the salad with a pasta order. When my son walked in the door with the order and I saw the 'side salad' I almost hit the floor; there was a small (3 inch across) Styrofoam container (exactly 1 cup sized) for the salad, and it wasn't even full. When I poured the 'side salad' in a bowl there I could've shoved the whole thing in my mouth with one bite (actually took my bride two bites to get it down). Called the manager and she confirmed that yes, that's the $2 side salad... For that I can go to the Domino's one exit south and get the same amount of food, probably almost as good, for half the price... Oh, for one good pizza place here in Acadiana!!!
