Family run restaurant with great service and great food. Summer, eating in the conservatory is a pleasure and winter in the other restaurant heated by a wood burning stove. Ideally placed for hikers as well as local people.

Very nice location as the building is surrounded by mountains and it faces on a beautiful small valley. The interior of the restaurant is pretty simple and maybe a bit too modern and roomy, giving a slightly cold feeling. The customer service was nothing special, not really too engaging but aside from this, nothing to complain about. Talking about the food, we were 3 persons and chose from a list of 2 pre-imposted menus. We chose 1 menu without meat, 1 single first dish, and 1 full menu, which included starters, 1 first dish to be chosen by the customer between 3 types of first dishes (they also give the option to order 3 smaller first dishes to taste a bit of everything at the price of 1), and 1 second dish, which was a type of meat to be chosen from a list of 3 different ones, and to finish a coffee and/or a cake. It was our first time at "La Collina Del Cavaliere" and I can say that the food was quite good. I tried 3 different taste-dishes which were supposed to be smaller than normal, but they weren't. Each plate was big and completely full. My full menu could have served all the 3 of us and make us happy at the price of 1. The restaurant is famous for the size of its portions and the quality of the food, in fact the food they serve for a single meal could serve 3 people. The very interesting and particular characteristic of this place is that on request of the customer, they offer free of charge containers to store the food left in the plate, take it away, so that you can eat it in another moment. I personally appreciated very much the chance to bring home their delicious ravioli. I give 4 stars rate and not 5 just because of the cold feeling I got when I entered the restaurant, but in regards to the food, 5 stars.

Situated in the heart of Majella national park and just 5 minutes' drive from Caramanico Terme, this plase is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The picturesque surroundings, quiet rooms, delicious food. Be it jam, cakes, bread for breakfast or amazing ravioli, all sorts of pasta, cheese and ricotta, eggplant wraps - it all is homemade, prepared with local produce and cooked moments before being served. A place for those who look to have rest, can appreciate traditional slow food and simplicity. We've been coming here for many years now, first as a couple and then as a family with 2 little children and Lida and Andrea have always made us feel welcome and at home. Thank you and see you soon again! Grazie ancora ....

My wife and I checked into the Pesco Falcone B&B and Restaurant after trekking 10 kilometers through the Valle dell'Orfento on a very hot (95 degree) day. When we entered the B&B there was a "restaurant" off of the reception area which I though was the only one associated with the B&B. I was wrong--it was simply the area for breakfast. The real restaurant was around the corner attached to the back of the B&B. When we walked in at 8:30 it was packed--which was a good sign. We were quickly seated at table with linen and nice wine glasses. We were then given menus that were in English--which for us is always helpful. The young lady that waited on us was the only waitress in the restaurant--and was working triple duty taking care of all the diners--and she did it extremely well. We started with bottles of fizzy water and a cold local white wine (Trebbiano). We both then ordered pasta dishes--me the one with ham and mushrooms, by wife one of the vegetarian dishes. Both were healthy portions of really great tasting food--and both quickly disappeared. Next my wife ordered a insalada misto, while I ordered the veal and a side of spinach soufflé. We were hungry after the days' activity, and she had no problems finishing her salad. Although I didn't finish the spinach (which was really good, but I just got too full) I did destroy the veal which was excellent. The total bill was 62 euros--and we were out of the restaurant in about 90 minutes. We could not have asked for a better dining experience!

This restaurant is a hidden gem! It's family owned and run and everything is homemade! The food is amazing and the service is fanstasic! I love coming here year after year for the excellent food. The arrosticini are our favorite but you must try the local pasta (chitarra al pomodoro). The appetizers were so good including the different bruschetta's and local salami and cheese. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We had a beautiful lunch here. Delicious food from the antipasti through to the desserts at a great price. It's a nice, quiet location in the hills of Abruzzo close to the many nearby attractions such as the hermitages, rock climbing and ski fields. The service was warm and welcoming. We would definitely come back again

A little pricier than the restaurants in Caramanico, but definitely worth it. Food was superb, excellent service, good ambiance. Don't be put off by the ugly building exterior, it's a great restaurant.

A place for those that treasure their meat. It is bought fresh and local, and cooked to perfection. The pasta is home made and again hard to beat.Friendly service in a typical country restaurant. Getting there is an adventure, and there are two ways in, try both, one is quite stimulating though perfectly safe.

I have been visiting La Locanda Del Barone and the surrounding area with my family for approximately 15 years. The food is absolutely delicious, the hospitality unrivaled and the view spellbinding. Do not hesitate in visiting this establishment; it will be the highlight of your trip. All of the food is superb, especially the antipasto della casa; it is a true sensory experience and you will be amazed by the local flavours and beautiful presentation. This restaurant is extremely popular, especially with locals - another indication that it is the best in the area. Special thanks to Daniela and family who have made all of our visits to their restaurant so special and memorable.

Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.
