Le Provence was the first restaurant that we visited in Capestang at the recommendation of Brits living there. It's a cozy, full-menu pizzeria/restaurant with with a pleasant courtyard, helpful staff, and reasonable rates.
Six of us traveled from Malta to enjoy a few days on the Canal. Capestang was one of our stop overs. We found Le Provence right next to the canal on a beautiful evening and sat outside to enjoy a meal in wonderful surroundings. The food was excellent especially the steaks - perfectly cooked and huge! A good wine selection also. Our waitress was a pleasure and more than capable of handling our jokes.

we have just had one of the best Pizzas ever, not only was it delicious but also inexpensive. An enormous beautifully cooked Pizza, a bottle, yes a bottle of Buzet and a barquette of chips for 13euros. The only down side was that it is primarily a take away, with only one table, which we managed to secure.

As one of only a handful of restaurants in this time village, and thus with a captive market, one might have reservations. The exterior and front dining area seriously underwhelm from an aesthetic point of view; it looks a little cheap and you might walk past because of this. Donât! The little exterior courtyard is fantastic; insist on being seated here if they let you (weather/business will dictate). The food matched the courtyard; generous and tasty (if Italian and not French!) The front of house lady is very charming and helpful. â¬60 for 4 mains, 2 desserts, coffee and a few drinks. 4.5/5

Each time I have eaten here I tried something more from the very extensive menu. Each time I was not disappointed not only well cooked and presented but generous too.Try the calzone, especially the one with an egg inside. Too die for....Leave enough space for the range of desserts - all good.
