A few years ago, we first visited this restaurant - by accident really. However, the experience was so good, this is now our favorite Italian restaurant - bar none! So each time we visit Italy, we travel to Cantu to have a wonderful meal.

As regards the place, the architecture, and the furniture, the place is really nice. Though the restaurant only has a small number of seats outside, the inside is arranged in a pretty well way. It never looks crowded nor busy.As regards the food, the pizzas are excellence! I really suggest them, the dough is homemade: I let you imagine. The rest of the plates are really appreciable and tasty. I suggest the deserts as well! The quality/price ratio is not bad. Affordable reastaurant overall.

If friends from the area wouldn't had brought there. The trattoria is like the little town: small and cosy ! Stroll a bit around , that makes space for the food you'll get ! The fried "gnocco" (some kind of empty fritters of bread dough) come with the cold cut's of very good quality, the wine of the house goes well with it ! The kitchen is very down to earth, feeling a bit visiting the aunt which cooks well . Better book the place, locals love it (almost everybody is knowing everybody).Fausto will have certainly some joke or gag ready...certainly in Cantù-dialect . Cannot wait to return !

We have been waiting for a long time for this day to arrive. For a weekend, you need to book very early. Unfortunately for us our daughter was got sick on the way there so we couldn't actually relax at the table with one of us having to be constantly worrying about herWhats to say? Food was very good, wine was reasonably priced, service was friendly and attentive, Pasta was fresh and tasty, fiorentina was perfect and desserts tasty. Only 1 comment, which was not a problem for us but maybe would be for some, was the lack of a menu and therefore prices. There was however a wine menu. All in all we spent 210 for 3 antipasti, 2 primi, 2 fiorentina, 3 desserts, 2 bottles of valpolicella repasso, water and coffees. All good value. We left a tip and I thought it was a nice touch that the waitress came out and said thanks

Consigliato!

On one of the main roads running through this small town lies this gem of a restaurant. They have no printed menu, but have a good selection of fresh produce. Of particular note were the robiola cheese and blueberry risotto which sounds awful on paper, but had a wonderful balance between the rich creaminess of the cheese with a little hint of sharpness and fragrance from the fruit; sensational. Of the pastas that we tried, the courgette and saffron was the most refined with a rich sauce delicately flavoured with just the right balance of saffron. Even the dessert, something that usually feels a little bit of an afterthought in typical osterias, was well above average, especially the crème caramel which had a silky texture and deep caramel taste. The prices are very low, so make sure that you book in advance as this place always seems to be busy, and for good reason!

The beautiful garden, shaded by oak trees and embellished with azaleas, rhododendrons and delicate flower arrangements on a lawn, frames the large ballroom, to the small and intimate restaurant room, just renovated, and the lovely terrace summer. Since 19
As we visited Cantu province of Como we had lunch at ristorante Le Querce, As we didn't want to eat in the big shopping mall we followed the signs of this restaurant, the road lead us into a Forrest on a hill a really little paradise ! The restaurant is a big complex with a hugh garden specialiced for weddings and other group celebratings. As everything was so quiet we tried the entrance and asked if it was possible to have lunch, which was no problem. We were the only guests in a quite formal room, the young waitress was friendly, and the food was very tasty we really enjoyed our lunch.

Our last night in Italy and a fabulous meal! Simon, our waiter, was extremely gracious and helpful. Appetizers of snails and meat platter were outstanding. My daughter said best gnocchi of the vacation. Hamburgers and beers were excellent. The desserts were amazing. #10 out of 10

We do provide pick and drop service from Albate or from Como for groups. Baita Monte Goj is located in the "Spina Verde" Park and from here you can ejoy a spectacular view on Como and the Lake. We serve real traditional food, starting from high quality in
This is a great place for an informal family lunch in the woods with good value traditional italian food and wine in a rustic environment both inside and out. Service is friendly and efficient. Advise you take the free jeep up but walking back down is very enjoyable through the woods and there are some great views to be seen. Toilet facilities could be perhaps be a little more modern!
