The staff here took care of our party of nearly 20 very well. A great special menu started with an appetizer tray of cooked seafood. The octopus tentacle was fantastic! We also had a course of salt cooked sea bass that was moist and tasteful. The dessert of puff pastry with banana cream filling was so good that I will be searching for a suitable recipe for back home.

During my stay in the Reggio Emilia area, I had the pleasure of dining in this fine restaurant situated in the lovely countryside of Capra. The restaurant itself was beautiful classically decorated and recently remodeled. I had hands down the best meal during my stay in Italy. My friends and I were welcomed by the owners with a basket of fresh baked bread at our table. For my first course I had a split order of the tortellini with one being pumpkin in a sofrito sauce and one a spinach and cheese doused in butter. It was divine. For my second course, I had the wild boar with polenta. Again, it was equally delicious. My friends were very happy with their fish platter which had an assortment of the freshest fish and seafood imaginable. For dessert we were treated with a homemade semifreddo and fresh fruit pastries. In this family run restaurant every aspect of the dining experience is ensured to be of the highest quality. From the simply but elegant decor, to crisp fine linens, to the warm greetings by many of family members who work there and finally to hands down one of the best meals you will ever have in your life. It is like your favorite home cooked meal, but even better. I can't wait to dine there again.

This is the second visit within a few weeks. The first was on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was absolutely full. Nevertheless, the service was efficient and the food was excellent. We returned today, Saturday lunchtime and the restaurant was much less busy and, obviously, we enjoyed the experience much more. We started with the 'crudite' which were perfectly fresh, we followed this with risotto (frutti di mare) which was to die for and finally, some of the group opted for the mixed fish grill which was first class whilst others went for the fried fish option. This Saturday lunch experience was incredibly good and we are sure to return. Highly reccommended !!!!!

I tried that restaurant because I arrived quite late at the hotel and that those two are really close. This first try made me eat here two times after. The pizzas are really good, but do not forget to try the panna cotta with chocolate, really simple dessert but with a great taste.

Ho pranzato con dei colleghi in questo posto durante una trasferta di lavoro a Reggio Emilia. Il locale è molto carino, luminoso, con un bel giardino e l'arredamento curato, moderno, particolare, ma comunque familiare ed informale. Il personale è abbastanza gentile e molto preparato, il servizio curato e veloce. Io ho preso un filetto con i porcini molto buono, con carne ben cotta e morbidissima. Poi delle verdure grigliate di contorno. E per finire un ottimo zuccottino di zuppa inglese, davvero grazioso e appetitoso. Mi segnerò questo posto per la prossima trasferta. Grazie di cuore.

Travelling around Italy with friends we were discovering the countryside in the outskirts of Reggio Emilia. We entered the small village of Campegine and started looking for something. What can we get in Italy if not pizza? So we really likedd the welcoming frioendly atmosphere from the owner and his wife. What we liked the most was the pizzas of course. It was a sort of all-you.can eat option. We had different ones, all excellent, while Pasquale, the owner was telling us about his passion for football and Napoli, his hometown. He also spent some time with us after the lunch and offered us a superb coffee "Like only Napolitans can make", he said.Thanks Pasquale, great coffee but your pizzas are outstanding and we cannot stop thinking about them.

Non sono amante della carne ma quando è eccezionale ne approfitto. Abbiamo iniziato io con la tartare di chianina e salame gustosissimo e i miei commensali con i quattro antipasti. Poi siamo passati ai secondi io stinco di maiale nero, gli altri braciole sempre di maiale nero, un enorme spiedino con tre pezzi di chianina, tagliata arrostita al punto giusto e una grigliata di altri tempi. Lambrusco eccezionale e ripasso Domini Veneti, Grappino e caffè. Prezzo molto buono per la qualità della carne.
