A nice pub / restaurant where to drink an excellent draught beer and eat really excellent local food. Definitely recommended.

As we didn't speak Italian, we chose randomly on the menu. We received a meat and cheese platter that was delicious. Service was good too.

An unassuming small ristorante with a friendly and helpful service. Fresh funghi served many delicious ways - ours was a wonderful salad followed by excellent wild boar stew. All local fresh ingredients used for the regional dishes prepared by the chef.

If you wanna eat a lunch "at home style" ....Da Fulvio is the right place in Sila.....the food is excellent and cooked and lived in a place that you definitely feel same as your own home.

The whole place feels like a gimmick; a couple of train cars at a deserted station..... But actually the food was good (not great). So I'd say don't go out of your way to visit this place but if you happen to stumble upon it (like we did after a long walk to a nearby lake) it's fine, just fine for lunch.

Cucina prettamente casareccia

Farm typical of Sila plateau , production of salami, cheese and vegetables , farm shop open every day, tastings and guided tours of the stables and the processing of cheese, every day.
Meet Mario and his 3 brothers who have taken over the family farm. This is a beautiful and huge family farm making the most delicious cheeses including silky ricotta from the familyâs sheep and pecorino wrapped in straw as well as divine bocconcini from their cows. We can move onto the most perfect potatoes from Sila with a DOP of their own. Mario is a perfect host and the family also has Nero di Calabria. This is a black pig that is being saved from extinction by the Calabrese people. So I am sure we will soon see the most beautiful piggy products. The family also has olive trees for their own exceptional olive oils. And one last thing, they grow everything organically including barley to brew delicious beer. Now, I do know you can have one crazy beautiful event there as well. They have a full beautiful restaurant space and garden. Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more food and travel.

The Mercato Silano its a common place for all the local manufacturers, where customers can buy local products and eat something cooked directly into the market. This is an idea of Arturo and Carlo Falcone, local producers.
We visited la sila like we always do when we come to Calabria.Normally we go to another eatery nearby but we visited this outlet as the other one was fully booked and good job we did come here. You pay before you eat and there is a menu selections that you choose from reasonably priced consisting of local antipasto meats and pasta's ( tagliatelle funghi and the Ragù made from pork ( black pig which was a little stronger in taste as pork goes but was lovely )for â¬15.Beer â¬5 isn't cheap but it's locally sourced. We visited twice ,on the second visit I was offered as an extra locally sourced mushrooms ( a delicacy of the area) either fried in breadcrumbs or in a salad they were very good, however I was charged â¬13 which considering I paid â¬15 for the set menu I thought for a side dish was a little expensive. In closing if you want traditional locally sourced products this an ideal place, you can also purchase what you eat from their fresh food and deli counters
