Stopped on way back to our nearby hotel for a light bite, but they had no salad, only Pizza, possibly because it is low season (may). However it turned out just as well, as they were delicious. Friendly staff, bright clean interior and reasonably priced. If we spoke Italian, would not hesitate to call and order a takeaway.

We decided to go to this restaurant because of its remote location and great reviews. Checked their website, their facebook page, no info about temporary closure of the place. Given that it is also a hotel, we assumed that there is no need to call in advance. What a disappointment when we arrived at the end of a steep dirt road that almost ruined our rental car and found out (after calling the number on a closed gate) that the place is closed until December. Info could have been posted online or at least on a signpost at the bottom of the hill to save us the nerve wracking drive, but the owners didn't bother.Dear Alice, according to your complain, we apologize for the misunderstanding and even if was not possible to book from TRIPADVISOR or THE FORK due to the closing season of Restaurant and Farm.We strongly want to emphasize the approach Tenuta Opuntia has for his guestes offering some organic Olive Oil. Please contact us via phon or email! We stumbled across signposts for this restaurant wandering around Calatabiano, hungry at lunchtime. It was worth following the signs for the uphill stroll to be greeted by very the friendly waiter (and possibly the owner). We spoke only very basic restaurant vocab, but they were very kind and welcoming. Our order, consisting of caprese salad, giant grilled prawns and a lasagne was all very tasty. We sat on the upper terrace, under a vine covered canopy, high up with lovely views out to sea. We really enjoyed our experience here.Thank You!

We popped by looking for a non touristy authentic Italian dinner and da Peppe's delivered.Portions are very generous and food great. We had a mix up/language issue when I ordered meatballs and got the steak (it was so nice anyway) they ended up bringing their amazing speciality octopus dish to apologise (I think) or just to show it off. Either way we had a great experience and would recommend it for anyone in the area.

That certainly is one of the best restaurants i have eaten in. With very exquisite and also unusual dishes (tuna roe pasta for example) and a very good service. Excellent white wine and prosecco.And to anyone going there i would firmly like to advise you to eat a beef fillet steak. Because this steak was p.e.r.f.e.c.t!And also pasta. And the squid. And...everything els we have tried in the 2 visits. Thanks for the experience!

We ate here spontaneously and really enjoyed it. Franko was so funny and speaks really good English. Suggested the fish antipasti and so glad we got it, was delicious. We also got the macaroni pasta which was also delicious! Massive wine glasses.

We went to lunch before the beach. Then we came back for dinner and the next day! Of the waiters, Frenkiet should be highlighted, but everyone is kind. Good quality food nice environment! I can only recommend.
