Reviews on Italian food in Cagliari, Province of Cagliari, Italy. Sardinia’s largest city (with a little over 150,000 people) and its capital for centuries, Cagliari on the island’s south coast offers the perfect mix of recreation and exploration options. The five-mile-long Poetto Beach is among the best city beaches on the Mediterranean, and together with the adjacent Marina Piccola, satisfies all manner of sun and sea pursuits. Seekers of culture will love Cagliari’s old district, Castello, where 13th-century towers still guard the medieval city walls.

We had a great time at Hostaria: the food is delicious, mortadella tortelloni are superb and the ragù is top notch. Great selection of antipasti too (go for the culatello, well worth the price tag) and a very good selection of desserts to end your meal on a high note. The staff is very welcoming. Book in advance, definitely recommended.

I am from Cagliari but I live in Scotland, everytime when I visit Cagliari I always go to dine where Marina works. Marina finally has her own restaurant where she can show her talent. The quality of the food is unique and delicious. I recommend this place if you want to taste the sardinian tradition in a modern key. Well done Marina and good luck! See you next summer.

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was very tasty and our servers were very professional and friendly. It is a cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed ending our meal with Mirto Rosso and Mirto Bianco.

This is one such place. Nothing special from the outside but the food was excellent. The 2 paninis we enjoyed were freshly prepared and generously filling with fresh ingredients. The service was friendly and efficient. If you are in the port area of Trani and do not want a sit down restaurant meal this is an excellent alternative.Highly recommended.

Take away pizza, and dining room. Non formal.
We decided to visit this restaurant, after recommendation. Upon arrival we noticed that the restaurant was fully booked from 7pm but the lovely owner arranged for us to stay for 1h30 until the next reservation starts and we gladly accepted. The food was amazing. The pizza were light and perfectly cooked. The Chef and his wife came to shake our hands at the end. We strongly recommend this place, the entire experience was amazing!

Read about this on TripAdvisor. We weren't feeling like a big meal and thought this would suit. Went early - 7.30 - as it is small. Tables inside already reserved but we scored a small table in the lane outside. Ordered one meat and cheese platter and the tartare with anchovies and apricots from the small but delicious sounding menu. Had a red recommended by our wonderful friendly waiter. Food and wine excellent and great value. 30 E for food and 4 glasses of wine. Just what we needed. Highly recommend but book or go early Sort of cross between a wine bar , deli and restaurant. Unique and great choices.

Spent two nights in Cagliari; limited sampling. Opens for dinner at 20:00. Open early on street for free Aperitifs with beverage purchase. Ordered Sardo glass red wine and Apple/ mint non-alcoholic beverage. Repeated this second day enjoyed so much. Shared lentil appetizer and each had a pasta. The beet gnocchi was preferred. Neither savory or spicy if that is your preference ( but tried to order both) - probably not either Italian or Sardinian preference. First Sardo wine was excellent. Too stuffed for dessert. Got 20% off for reserving online, which they remembered to offer. Less than 40⬠total for great heathy organic plants. Not to mention a great October night eating outside (our preference).
