Really nice spot with great Italian wines! I had the grilled veggies that were cooked to perfection and a chocolate souffle with a mint sauce that was scrumptious. Staff was friendly and helpful with my wine selections to pair with the coursed I chose.

Well this restaurant is not the usual tourist destination. It offers good Italian food and fine wines combined with a professional service. The costs are maybe a bit higher than somewhere else in Budapest, but the price/performance ratio is good. I would recommend to reserve a seat because they seem to be quite full at the evenings

You imagine an Italian dish, how it would look like, how it would smell, taste, what kinds of herbs they would use, and order it. nd it is better than you could ever have imagined. Harmony of tastes and ingredients of such high quality that I only see in fine dining places. The genuine kindness of the staff is not to be learnt, it comes from the heart.

We finished visiting the Buda castle area and we walked down the hill and started looking for a good restaurant. We found the Riso but we had to walk back up the hill but honestly it was worth it. The restaurant was busy so if you want to eat in the terrace I would recommend getting a reservation. Friendly staff and lots on the menu to choose from. My wife had the fried goat cheese salad which also had walnuts in it- very tasty. I had the veal rice dish with cabbage salad. Checkered tablecloths (yes, the classic red-white one, and also the blue-white version on some tables), painted wall (landscape) and a warm welcome. You can choose watching TV or listening to music, in the latter case you can decide the style, too.The pizza was good, waiting time and prices are average. Many kinds of pizza, also some unique combination. All in all, I recommend this place.

We stayed in Budakeszi with the sister of our friends for a couple of nights and visited a couple of restaurants. This was the first and there were three of us with mixed tastes. Mainly Italian menu. I had the gnocci with riccotta and spinach which I really enjoyed. It was well served and really hot with lots of bubbly cheese. I had ordered a mixed salad anticipating we would share it but I ended up eating it all myself. It was one of the best, and largest, salads I have had with a lovely mixture of really fresh and crispy veg and herbs. My wife was not as fortunate as she ordered the carbonara which was, let's say, not what we expected .The atmosphere is lovely and although I did not eat desert myself the other two in our party both did and my wife who is an afficianado of deserts said it was "to die for". I tasted both deserts and they were, indeed, very very good. The service was excellent, staff very friendly and although the carbonara was perhaps not the best choice I rated the food 4 stars as two from the three mains were excellent as were both desserts.The menu is very reasonably priced and if you like mainly Italian food it's a very convivial place Budakeszi is quite a lovely place to visit with lots of interesting parks and woodland walks.
