Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Bolzano. The capital of Italy’s northernmost region of South Tyrol, Bolzano (Bozen in German) has only been Italian since World War I, and its character remains distinctly Germanic. At the center of the town, Piazza Walther is named for a 13th-century German minstrel. The town’s most famous resident, Ötzi the Iceman, dates from about 3300 BC and now rests at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology. The striking new building for Museion, the city’s modern and contemporary art museum, opened in 2008.

Fischbanke is by far the nicest terrace in Bolzano. The operator is a friendly older gentleman with a pipe. Various wines by the glass and delicious tapas. The terrace is a colourful collection of self-painted signs with spells, lanterns and umbrellas! We wanted to eat somewhere, but stayed on this cozy terrace ... Are you in Bolzano, then really along Fischbanke and just linger!

Great experience.Food is just excellent, wine list is way beyond your imagination.Price is incredibly fair.I donât see how someone can complain because doesnât receive chips at 20:30 when you suppose to have dinner.Unfortunately we are surrounded by customers that should go to Macdonald and leave gastronomy to someone else. When you work in the business you can spot idiot customers from a review. If you want to have a great experience in Bolzano and really enjoy your time with an extensive and extraordinary wine list, this is definitely the place to be.The staff is super professional, knowledgeable, very kind and all of them knows what to do.If you miss this restaurant you really miss something.Thank you very much for the amazing dinner.

We were glad that we followed the other reviewers and stopped for dinner here. It was just what we were looking for: casual, inexpensive, and quite tasty. The roasted meat (I can not remember which "bratten" it was) and potatoes were excellent; tender meat, full flavored sauce, and plenty of thin sliced roasted potatoes. The turkey salad was tasty too; large portioned. With a bottle of water the bill totaled 27â¬; plenty of good food for the money. We did our best to navigate the Italian/German menu; an English speaking waiter was most helpful.

We have followed the very good reviews here on Tripadvisor about the third "restaurant" in Bolzano. We were very disappointed of finding a very small place where is impossible to sit down, with a horrible home-wine and some "tartine", bread slices with very ordinary cold cuts and cheese.self service

We booked for the Christmas Eve dinner, a set menu, and were asked to arrive at 7pm. The first course didnât arrive until 8.10, then two more courses in quick succession, then a half hour wait, then another course hot on its heels. Currently debating whether to stay for the final two courses. People all around us are looking pissed off, as are we. Itâs a disgrace.Dear Travellingpantaloni,Thank you very much for your feedback. It is very important to us to know our guests opinion in order to improve our services. We regret that you didnât like the dinner. Probably there was a misunderstanding about the starting time of the dinner. We arranged the aperitif in our foyer on the 1st floor at 7pm as a get together, in order to serve all the guests at the same time during dinner. The dinner should have started at 7.45 pm, unfortunately not all guests were on time, that is why the start was delayed.I want to apologize in name of the entire team for the inconvenient situation and hope you will give us a second chance in order to convince you about the beauty of Parkhotel Laurin and the lovely attentions we all have for our guests. All the best,Martina BoscheriPR & Marketing

This elegant restaurant had great food and great service. The seating was comfortable, service congenial, and enjoyably for us, not smokey from cigarettes as were many other restaurants. The Wiener schnitzel and roast beef dishes were excellent and quite reasonably priced. We would definitely visit this restaurant again.Dear guest, thank you for your lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our restaurant. Looking forward to welcoming you again on your next stop in Bolzano.Kind regardsPaula & Team Franziskanerstuben

THE ZAPPA - Smart-Noodles is momentarily closed pending a major restructuring and / or transfer. - SEE YOU SOON
they say "returnig on the crime scene" and we did it.we were here last year and ate wonderful pastas, this time we found this new initiative "smart noodles" that's interesting, with ready sauces but their excellent pasta, which arrives on the table in few minutes.always very good wines and low prices.

One of the best restaurants in Bozen. Very tastful dishes and excellent wines. Very attentive and friendly staff. You can sit outside, but you have to make reservations for it. One thing that is really disturbing to me is the ugly interior 'design'... nothing fits together.. and not in the nice way. They really should restyle this place. The venue itself is fantastic, but the interior is tasteless and in such contrast with their modern take on their delicious food.

We were looking for a place to enjoy dinner after a congress in Bolzano e we ended up with1 this place. From outside it looks like a small castle on the top of the hill. The garden outside before getting into are impressive and very well kept. Inside the atmosphere is magic. During both the first and second evening a blond waitress from Slovakia was so nice with us and she really took care of us, doing the maximum she could do for us and for our welfare and well staying. We really loved this place and we will come back again for sure. Price are competitive, considering the complicated preparations required for the dishes. Also the owner, a young guy, was paying attention to us and he always was checking if everything was going well. It's definitely on of the best restaurant we have never been !Dear Angela C,thank you so much for your nice review. It's been a pleasure to have you twice a week here as our guest and that you enjoyed the time.We hope to see you soon again.Meanwhile we send our best regardsHaselburg Team
