Discover Restaurants offering the best Italian food in Bolton, England, United Kingdom. Bolton (/ˈbɒltən/ ( listen) or locally [ˈbɜʏtn̩]) is a town in Greater Manchester in North West England. A former mill town, Bolton has been a production centre for textiles since Flemish weavers settled in the area in the 14th century, introducing a wool and cotton-weaving tradition. The urbanisation and development of the town largely coincided with the introduction of textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution. Bolton was a 19th-century boomtown, and at its zenith in 1929 its 216 cotton mills and 26 bleaching and dyeing works made it one of the largest and most productive centres of cotton spinning in the world. The British cotton industry declined sharply after the First World War, and by the 1980s cotton manufacture had virtually ceased in Bolton.

Lovely meal ruined by poor service and no gap between courses. We had just finished our starters which also included a shared garlic bread and was all pretty filling then not literally 3 miinutes later our main courses arrived...i actually thought the waitress was giving them to the wrong table. I told her they had been served to us far too quickly ..she said nothing and just smiled and walked away. When she came back a few minutes later with some water i told her again about the main course being served far too quickly and that id like some feedback but no one came. So when i paid the bill i spoke to the guy behind the bar who said we should have asked for a break ... my reply was what u usually serve the main course within a few minutes of yhe starter being taken away!!! Obviously not getting anywhere with this so we left. For what was lovely food was spoilt because we couldnt eat it as we were so full from our starters and i resent paying for a meal for 1 i cudnt enjoy and for 2 i couldnt finish... wont be rushing back anytime soon. Also staff seriously need some training in how to deal with customers and to at the very least acknowledge their complaint....

A small cosy restaurant that offers fabulous food.It would serve you well to book first as there are only about a dozen tables ..The food is nothing short of fabulous and at reasonable prices...The menu is not expensive but there are decent choices. Another big plus is that you can bring your own drink .You are obliged to by soft drinks which is a reasonable request .we had 2 garlic bread a bruschetta followed by 2 pasta dishes and a chicken fillet in brandy & cream sauce with side vegetables..for all this and two diet cokes the bill was under £40..This price cannot be beaten...This is the 2nd time we have attended in as many weeks...

Visited Cafe Italia twice recently, once for breakfast with a couple of business associates. Great value and the. eggs benedict was very good indeed. Couple of days later the lady love and I visited for an evening meal. We really enjoyed it.We had Olives, Pate and Bruschetta for starters, then Parpadelle Al Gamberi and the excellent Paccheri Alla Genovese - which is delicious. We stuffed some Cannoli into our fat faces at the end and wobbled our way home.A very good meal, the best Italian in Bolton, by far. Only drawback I can see is that there isnât much parking, doesnât matter to us as we live close by, but just be aware. Taxiâs are the way forward!

Italian restaurant in the middle of Westhaughton. Parking is available 2 minutes walk away over the road. behind the Casa Nostra. Party of 6 here for a Sunday night family get together. They have a special 3 course selection at only 15.95 which is excellent value. Food was supurb. Service very good. Only downside. I do think they have over priced their drinks. 5.95 for a glass of wine is over the top.

Wow really impressed. Came here for lunch and had difficulty pealing my rear from the chair to leave i was that impressed with the food; i could have quite happily eaten the whole menu it looked so tantalisingly delicious. I had a garlic bread with cheese and mushroom starter which i shovelled down my throat ignoring my gag reflex- simply stunning. I had a spinach side with a chicken ceaser sally- very impressed. Loved the toilet- clean, spacious- relaxing environment to drop the anchor in peace. I shall definitely be returning to sample more. Great gem of a place with a serene ambiance.

We did the 3 course Sunday special after 4 for under £14. Starters were good, garlic cheese bread amazing. Mains, carbonara was creamy and thick sauce. Very nice. Calzone was good, filling a little runny but very tasty. Dessert was mixed. The fudge cake was wonderful, my house special cheesecake was nice but let down by canned squirty cream and topped with tinned strawberryâs. Shame, as everything else was very good. Friendly staff but chatted to regulars and never asked how we were enjoying our food. I would go back, good value and quality was good. Thank you very much for your review, it means a lot to us that you enjoyed your meal and it motivates our team to impress and provide great food and service. We apologise about not giving you enough attention. We hope you will visit us again soon and just know that we will always do our best to make our customers happy.RegardsCiao Napoli

Visited this family run traditional Italian restaurant over the weekend. Small but perfectly formed. Staff are warm and engaging. Full menu if traditional favourites beautifully cooked and reasonably priced. Definitely one to return to!
