Simple cafe , simple food , simple service . Not bad but nothing special.Hotel restaurn would be better

This restaurant has some nice staff that are always in a good mood and make your dinner a bit more pleasant The food is of good quality and tasty. It sometimes takes a while before you get your food depending how busy it is. I think the kitchen might not be big enough to cater for a full house. Overall the dinner was very enjoyable.

The restaurant has the feeling of the Italian seaside restaurant. The decor is modern yet very organic to the area of the coast of Italy by Naples. The owners a young couple both Italians with their little daughter, they are so sweet and kind. The night before our hosts in Bensheim had catered from the restaurant. The food was superb we had home made lasagna , ziti, risotto and 2 rolled meats one Florentine style and the other with prosciutto and mozzarella inside ....the desert was a Napoleon or Mille fliori with chocolate and cream layers to die for.We decided that we had to eat diner at La Taverna next night. The menu was very flexible. From appetizers to deserts. Some of us ordered pizza( one with tuna, mine salami and mushrooms and one with sweet potato yes unbelievable) and some of us pasta. You can be vegetarian or carnivorous or love fish you will find something delicious in the menu. My brother in-law wanted something that was not in the menu and they said not a problem they made it he loved it. The owner chef also brought to the table a plate with pasta so we would also try some more pasta that we had not ordered just so we would try for next time.Itâs a family owned place that loves to feed unbelievably great quality great tastes what they would make for their family.... love it. I get like I was in Italy at someoneâs home.

Pizza was average, not authentic Italian in my opinion but but good enough. Same could be said of the pasta, below of what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. On the plus side, the restaurant is located in a quiet location with a terrace. Personnel was friendly and dinner was served very quickly. Price was good also. There were a number of annoying wasps at the terrace, which didn't exactly contribute to a relaxed atmosphere. I realize it's August (high season for them) but it would be nice if more could be done in order to get rid of those wasps. We probably would have stayed a little longer if they weren't there.

We went there to find our preferred Italian restaurant, although some older internet reviews complained about it. Forget about these reviews !This is a very nice and cozy Italian restaurant, there are niches available if you want to share a dinner with your loved ones and larger tables for groups. On a sunny day there is a nice terrace outside.Patron and service is friendly and has always good ideas for side dishes (outside the regular menu), kitchen is great and fairly quick. Except pizza we had tried everything, I recommend to take Italian starters for 2 and main course one of the lovely Italian Scaloppine (schnitzel). We never ever made it to the desserts but heard that Tiramisu must be a marvelous :-)Hi Erich, thank you very much. I like your commend :)
