Use to be a favorite however this recent visit revealed disappointing weaknesses. The young boy pouring water had more manners than not just our waiters, but numerous wait staff within the area of the table. I understand this is an Italian restaurant with âauthenticâ feel, but feeling like Joe Pesci was the server was a bit much. The waiter had a dirty apron, forgot some of our order & used a chin flip to acknowledge a request. (Are you getting the idea??). The rib eye was $48., chilean sea bas $32. Al a cart. So I may not return until the management puts some shine on the customer experience.

Great luch specials. Their speciality pizzas are very good. Last visit we had Sausage Pepper and Onion, Ziti slice and sicilian. The zeppoles are outstanding as well.

If your familiar with Bayport/Blue Point, you know the amount of pizza joints we have. That's Amore is the newest "kid" in town, and they've proved themselves. The pizza is delish every time we order it. They deliver which is terrific.Their sandwiches are fantastic!I'm very happy they are here!

We tried this restaurant as someplace different then our usual eateries. The reviews were good and the menu on their web site looked amazing and now having eaten there can honestly say both were correct. The night we were there the place was jammed packed (reservations are highly recommended) so our waiter was a bit overwhelmed and that was the only neg. of our experience. Even with the crowd and our waiter a little slow getting to us and checking in once and a while (like forgetting our bread, slow getting our drinks, not checking to see if we needed anything, etc...) all was mostly forgiven once our food arrived. I had the baked lasagna and growing up an Italian NY'er I know my pasta's and what's good and what's not. This lasagna was among the best I've had (not as good as my nonnina's though). And everyone we dined with that night raved about each of their dishes. The prices were not cheap, but not over the top either. The atmosphere had a sort of a clean, industrial type feel. The soft lighting helped, but the noise level all around us was high. I gave it 4 stars for the reasons mentioned above: very, very crowded, waiter was overwhelmed and we had to keep flagging him down for service and a little too noisy for me, but oh the food, the food was amazing and would rate 5 stars. Perhaps a slower night or different time slot for our visit and it would have received an overall 5 stars, maybe(?). For me, when I write a review and score it's rating, for a place to earn 5 stars ALL the elements must be worthy of 5 stars. I do however recommend trying this restaurant and because the menu had so many tantalizing, appealing options leaving me wanting to taste and what we did have was that good I know we'll be going back.

Tony's is our go-to Friday night pizza place. The owner, Benny, and his family run the restaurant and they are Italian immigrants, so they learned pizza the old-school way. Their menu is standard Italian classics, nothing fancy or trendy, just reliable, full-flavored food. Their dinners come with a side of pasta or salad, their antipasta salad is delicious. You won't find any surprises here, but the food is always good and the service is small-town friendly.
Enjoyed a freshly made calzone and slice of Sicilian pie. My husband enjoyed his buffalo chicken slices. Plenty of toppings on slice.

Whether enjoying the dining room or the bar, you will find a warm comfortable atmosphere free from tension and pressure, a place where friends can meet, relax, spend time and enjoy great Italian food, fun, and entertainment. We also host private events: R
The comfortable décor offers a pleasant contrast of classic decor and dim lighting in the dining room and bright light modern high chairs and tables by the bar (many TVs showing the same channels!!!) The service was so discreet that it became borderline inattentive. The bread is terrible- frozen undercooked rolls- what happened to the good old Italian bread from the Bronx? Two delicious appetizers, including calamari cooked to perfection along with an excellent tomato sauce. One delicious entree exquisite pasta in a classic meat sauceBut The eggplant rollatiniwere terrible: over cooked therefore dry, but the worst was that the breading which was so thick really so thick on both sides that you could not taste the eggplant. You were eating dried bread crumbs!Dessert- no excuses were made, neither compensation offered when our choices were no longer available. They were overall too sweet, and the taste was drenched in cheap syrup thrown around. They really appeared to be commercially produced! Great great wine list!A needed refinement in quality will go a long way. This restaurant remains a solid choice only if you adhere to heavy oldies.

Home Of The Giant Pie
Perpetually under construction but always great pizza. A wide selection but I believe the best is the Penne ala Vodka slice. Can be packed with families with kids on school vacation days

Had lunch with a friend at "La Tavola" today. It was my first time there, but it won't be my last!! The luncheon menu is great...they offer a $12 lunch, with many choices...salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and pastas. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious...well-prepared, and served hot. The restaurant has a lovely ambience, as well. Very impressed!!

We visited on a Monday night, party of 4, around 8 pm. The place was quiet when we arrived and the host was very welcoming. Our server came right over and explained how the menu works and took our drink order. We enjoyed the fresh mozzarella appetizer for the table and very much enjoyed the complimentary hummus and toasts. We shared the chicken piccata which was nicely prepared. Our guests enjoyed the individual chicken Gorgonzola and the sausage, bean and pasta dish. All in all a pleasant dinner, thanks Buteraâs of Sayville!
