Discover Restaurants offering the best Italian food in Bath, England, United Kingdom. Known for its restorative wonders, Bath was once the home of Jane Austen. Sure, you could attempt to conjure up this elegant city by reading Pride and Prejudice in your tub, but as Bath has a lot more history than your bathroom (we assume, anyway) you'd be missing out. A stroll through Bath is like visiting an open-air museum, with roughly 5,000 buildings in the city drawing notice for their architectural merit. After your stroll, soak in the natural hot waters of the Thermae Bath Spa, once a favorite of the Celts and Romans.

Housed in a spectacular former church house, the Aqua Restaurant and Bar is considered one of Bathâs finest Arts and Crafts buildings. The main dining area, gallery and alfresco courtyard provide a theatrical backdrop for the modern European cuisine. Aqua
Early evening Dinner with family was a roaring success. We were unable to get a table anywhere else and so plumped fir this spot. We ate here years ago and it was ok but yesterday we felt it has become something rather special. The setting is lovely and the service was very good. Prompt but not rushed. We enjoyed a variety of dishes all were cooked very well and generous portions. Nice little childrenâs menu which was enjoyed by my two little nieces. Clean plates all round. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place based on last nights experience. Menu is not the predictable pasta offering. Some really good cooking going on. Thanks Aqua Bath. You exceeded my expectations. Will be recommending to all.

Fine dining near to the great famous Pulteney Bridge. Enjoy the scenic winter in front of our large wood fire creating a warm atmosphere perfect with a glass of wine. Fresh food sourced locally.
After walking the quaint streets of Bath, we crossed the river and stopped at Antica for lunch. We were seated right away at a table in the window which gave us a great view of the street for people watching. The food was superb and the service very good. At lunch, the experience was on the casual side. Great wine list!Thank you so much - we are so pleased to know you enjoyed your visit to Antica.

Ponte Vecchio restaurant is set in Bath's most scenic location, with a view over the world-famous Pulteney Bridge & Weir and the river Avon. We serve the best of Italian cuisine in our elegant dining area. Our varied menu features authentic freshly-made p
Food ok but nothing exceptional. Service was lacking and there were times the service staff obviously didnât communicate with each other as things either never came to the table (drinks requested) or came out wrong. Pizza base was stodgy and chewy rather than crisp. Some of the starters were lovely, including the specials, mains were lacking though.

Joya Restaurant offers modern Italian dining in a fantastic position overlooking the world famous Pulteney Bridge and Weir. Homemade pasta dishes, stonebaked pizzas and chargrilled fish, chicken and steaks. From our homemade spaghetti bolognese to our cha
I booked the day before. It seems making a reservation is wise as the restaurant was busy and one enquirer had to be turned away, sadly. The person who took my booking was very welcoming, and was quite gracious when I asked if I could use my Meercat App to get 2-4-1 on each course - the sign of true class. The restaurant is located in the centre of Bath, very near to the Pultney Bridge. It is simply, but tastefully, decorated and had a nice atmosphere. The cuisine is regional Italian, from Puglia, and the menu included some items I had never had before, such as panzerottini (£5.95): dough balls which are stuffed with cheese and tomatoes and deep fried - yummy! We also had extremely well cooked calamari fritti (£7.95), the plate had not one drop of oil on it so they had been perfectly fried. We both had a truly delicious spaghetti carbonara (£12.95), perfectly presented with a sprinkling of salad leaves. The portion sizes were just right. To drink we had a glass of prosecco (£4.95), sparkling water (£2.95 for a small bottle), a large glass of merlot (£6.25) and a Sambuca (£3.40). Service was warm, courteous and efficient, we were more than happy to pay the service charge of £5.73 which brought the bill total to £44.18.

Great Italian food, low prices, independently owned.Waiting staff must be very fit as kitchen on 3rd floor.Toilets on 2nd floor so not suitable for those with very young children ( also not much space for them) or mobility issues. A few tables on the ground floor.Buzzing when we visited. Thanks very much, love this review. x

Traditional and authentic italian restaurant
Food good; service a bit sketchy. Started well, with our glasses never running dry, then all but evaporated towards the end. Waiter actually snatched away our empty wine bottle without asking whether we wanted anything else. Took four of us about 15 mins to flag down another waiter. Still, the food was quite nice.

Absolutely fabulous pizza. Great flavours and combinations of toppings with the variety doughs makes this a stand out pizza restaurant. The service was brilliant too. Really made our trip away. Thank you

Small, busy, much admired, family-run restaurant; serving seasonal, locally sourced, freshly cooked food; charming and welcoming staff; sensible and honest prices. Set in a fine Georgian house in Bath's most beautiful position - between The Circus and The
Lovely food, beautifully presented, extremely tasty in every way. Limited choice for children but luckily both our 11 and 12 year olds were happy to have the steak which came with fat chips and the portions were plenty and not too many other flavours. The mackerel starter was beautifully tasty and well worth a try especially if you think youâve had mackerel in every way before. So many options to cater for allergies and intolerances too, the staff were so accommodating and attentive to your every need.Pricey but worth it.Thanks so much for your positive appraisal of The Circus Restaurant. We're so glad you and your children enjoyed it

Having been here a number of times previously, as it is our favourite restaurant in Bath, I was really looking forward to sharing the experience with my family. Sadly it did not live up to its usual high billing as it was severely let down by the service and the limitations on the food that I can only put down to cutting costs.Service: These may seem very small, but given the previous high standards I feel the need to point these out as it just felt slap dash and they did not care. 1. On entering the resturant it was raining quite heavy so on passing over our coats and gloves before being shown to the table I asked if it would be possible to try and dry a pair of the gloves (as they have a condition that mean they suffer the cold worse than normal) and got a grunt as a response. On picking up our coats after the meal the lady had completely ignored my request abd had infact placed all the jackets on one hanger meaning the inside of all the jackets were sodden wet and the gloves had just been shoved in the coat pockets2. On sitting at the table I asked the waiter if there were any specials. Just a flat "No" was the response3. During the service the waiter proceeded to lean over the table all night, completely oblivious the people eating had to stop in order to give him space4. It was my girlfriend's birthday and there was a card wishing her happy birthday on getting to the table. Before the dessert the waiter then came up to the table and said, "What is your name?" before wishing her happy birthday. Eh?Food: Some of the dishes were still extremely tasty (eg rack of lamb) however some signs of cutting back:1. A cheesboard that contained a total of 2 types of cheese. No excuses2. 2 of the dessert dishes being sold out. No excuses when we were not even the last sitting3. 4 very small pieces of bread placed on the table for 4 people. Once eaten, there was no offer to replenish4. Previously when there has been a birthday the restaurant has given a small cake. Abs nothing offered Price: Still very reasonably priced, but I believe the costs have gone up a little. Not cheap when sides need to be ordered with steakAll other aspects (eg location, armosphere) please refer to my previous reviews
