Reviews on Italian food in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, United States. Bala Cynwyd ( /ˈbælə ˈkɪnwʊd/ BAL-ə-KIN-wuud) is a community in Lower Merion Township which is located on the Main Line in southeastern Pennsylvania, bordering the western edge of Philadelphia at US Route 1 (City Avenue). It was originally two separate towns, Bala and Cynwyd, but is commonly treated as a single community. This came about when a single US Post Office served both towns (the "Bala Cynwyd" Branch) using ZIP code 19004. The community was long known as hyphenated Bala-Cynwyd. Bala and Cynwyd are currently served by separate stations on SEPTA's Cynwyd Line of Regional Rail.

Nicest family owns this main line iconic pizza, sandwich and salad shop. Take out and delivery. They truly aim to please. Food and service are excellent. Delivery is fast and food arrives fresh. Opposite Great American Pub another local favorite. Narberth is a real find; a bit of a New England Town in SE Pa. Try it...You'll like it!

Cotoletta is a wonderful Italian restaurant in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Not only is the food fabulous, but the staff and owner go out of their way to make your meal special! I highly recommend it to everyone. Opened for dinner only.

My husband and I have eaten at Anthony's in Wynnewood twice (once we went with another couple). On both occasions the staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. However, the food was average. We have had the pizza, salad, sandwiches and wings. It was all good but nothing to make us go back for.

If you like New York style thin crust pizza this should be your go-to place. Great with toppings - they do not scrimp. Pepperoni Pizza is my fav here.

My boyfriend and I have not been to Pica's for years. We went on Saturday 2/2/2019, what a pleasant surprise. The food is even better than I remembered. The service was great. Prices are very affordable. Dennis ordered the Seafood combination and I ordered Veal Marsala. Also, garlic bread. Everything was served hot and we had leftovers for the next day. Great place, we will be going back soon.

We have come here a few times. The food is always delicious, and I actually like the old fashioned ambiance and wait service. It reminds me of another fancy Italian restaurant I used to go to in the 90s. Also a plus that I can dress up if I so choose. My husband likes the dessert display. However, check your bill before you leave! Perhaps go so far as to take pics of the menu prices so you can compare. Request prices of specials before ordering because they are outrageous ($10-$15 higher than the regular menu prices)! We were also slightly overcharged for my glass of wine but I didnt mention it. I was going to contact the manager about all this later when I got home so as not to cause a scene on my special night out, but there is no contact info listed besides the phone number! Then I went on to read other reviews saying the same thing. We'll probably go back here 1 or 2 times a year for strictly special occasions but I'll be more careful next time.

Had the salumi/formaggi and the burrata caprese with a slice of zucchini mushroom pizza (from a friends order - they do not do by the slice). The bread and pizza crust were wonderful. The toppings were fresh and well cooked. The caprese comes with pickled tomatoes which is a twist I had not had before but was delicious - I recommend the balsamic on the side. Patio was very nice for outdoor eating on a pretty day.

A wonderful eating experience. This might be a just small restaurant in a neighborhood, but it is a big time restaurant. Everything is first rate: service, food, and atmosphere. Four people made it all happen, 2 chefs and 2 waiters. Dinner ran like clockwork. We enjoyed lamb chops, eggplant rollatini and clams and linguine. All the dinners were generous portions, tasty and nicely plated.

I was in Philly on business and the team found a restaurant close to our hotel. Nice quiet atmosphere, very friendly staff, and daily specials. No alcohol is offered, but you can bring your own bottle of wine. Now that expectation is out of the way. The food was outstanding! The four of us could not have been more please each of our meals, the appetizers, simply excellent! We had no room for dessert but they sounded wonderful as well.

The Couch Tomato Café & bistro is your number one destination in Manayunk for gourmet pizzas & salads, known for its thin-crust NY-style pizza, as well as its large, fresh, & creative salads. Upon opening in 2003, it quickly establishing itself as the are
I always enjoy whatever I get at the cafe or the bistro. I especially like the lunch options. The food is fresh, healthy and there's always something interesting to choose from. There are some nice cocktails as well. I come a few times a year and it's always a good experience. Will be back for sure! I've also had the catering at work a few times and it's great and they always provide extra focaccia :)
