Had a wonderful lunch on a warm autumn day on the main square Piazza del Popolo.Mr. Berardo, the owner, suggested some freshly prepared dishes and we had a very good lunch with some fried stuffed olives (olive allâascolana), fried pecorino cheese, followed by home made ravioli stuffed with ricotta and a creamy truffles sauce , some chicken and a tuna âtagliataâ.Everything was fresh and tasting good and we were suggested some good local wine to be paired to the food.Dicaduca is for sure the best choice in the center of Ascoli Piceno.

A cozy pizzeria-restaurant near the historic center of Ascoli Piceno, where you can eat exquisite thin-crust Itallian pizza, and other mediterranean cuisine goodies, reasonably priced. Bonus part: If you make the owner likes you, you'll surely receive the 100% of the Italian hospitality!

Having missed lunch we were desperate for somewhere that was open. We found this place. At 7:30 they were surprised, but happy to see us. No menu, no english spoken... But dinner came. The owner was a barrel off laughs, her energy contagious. We had a salady thing, bread, toast with olive oil and tomato sauce. Followed by pasta. We couldn't eat any more, so the hostess brought us Biscotti and her homemade Limoncelli with Basil. Food, water, wine and a bottle of Red to go....â¬30It was not the best meal we have had, but definately the most fun!

We visited this restaurant last year and loved it so we returned this year. Excellent service, beautifully presented tables and the food was amazing. They also have excellent wine and decent prices. The pasta with fresh truffles is unbeatable. We love this place.

If you want to sample the best of the local culinary specialities without overdoing it this is the place to visit. If you go for the aperitivo you will be presented with a succession of delicious and substantial appetizers accompanied by your choice of some lovely local wines. Each 'course' was attractively presented and the sum total amounted to a most satisfying dinner that left some room for a sweet at the nearby Caffe Meletti. Excellent service in a charming little establishment. (Little, meaning you'd better book ahead--it was full even off season.) For our evening visit we were led there by our Italian-speaking friend and I never bothered to look at a menu or ask prices, so I was stunned when that lovely repast with wine came to â¬10 per person.

In season this is one of the best places to enjoy fresh truffle inspired cuisine. On this occasion truffle is still available but more limited. However other dishes are available ranging from pasta to rabbit or steak. The staff are extremely friendly. The wine was also good. This is a cosy and intimate restaurant where a reservation is essential.

A local friend and I stopped in for a quick lunch recently. The location has a small and adorable interior (with a fantastic selection of wines) and "heated" outdoor seating area. We opted for the outdoors. We began with wine, lentils, and fried dough. All very enjoyable. My friend got a beautiful salumi and cheese plate. It was a nice assortment and accompanied by delicious honey and jam. I got their Fritto Misto... because I LOVE Olive Ascolane and Cremini. This one was different than the others though. It featured an impresive variety of several variations of the Olive Ascolane, a cremini, fried sage, and a few other bites of fried deliciousness! It's a great chance to sample a variety and determine your favorites :)Everything was great and I suspect made in house! I'll be sure to be back on my next visit!

One of the Oldest and Tipical Italian Restaurant since 1937 in the very city centre of Ascoli Piceno.
Looked nice and I excitedly ordered the tasting menu. The sweet waitress took the order without demur. After consulting amongst themselves, the rather sinister looking male waiters said the tasting menu was for a minimum of two but that I could recreate it for double the price! Maybe they didnât like a 26e steal deal going to a foreigner (albeit bilingual). I asked them to reconsider but they wouldnât. I said I was unhappy and got up to leave. They tried to charge me for the water which I hadnât touched. They didnât try to persuade me not to go. So one of their 2 English language reviews this year will be damning. And beautiful Ascoli Piceno which is desperately short of quality foreign tourists. Well done guys, this is called winning the game of life -not ! In bocca al lupo.

Nonna Nina is apparently a family owned restaurant, and out experience was like being welcomed into a home. We had an exceptional lunch, assisted by wine and menu suggestions and happy banter. All the dishes were of high quality and delicious. We recommend this restaurant for a comfortable fine dining experience at very reasonable prices.
