At Giorgio's, you'll find a place where Mediterranean flavors, shareable fine dining, and creative cocktails combine into something truly special. Homemade pasta, fresh bread baked daily, and the sense of community and comraderies we've built over two dec
I have been to both restaurants. This one was the white building in Pennachuck Square. We stopped for lunch. Beautiful atmosphere. Servers were nicely dressed and the place spotlessly clean as was the bathroom.I ordered the gyro with lamb which I enjoyed. My husband enjoyed his wrap. Warm crusty bread with served with olive oil. The server was attentive and well trained for a young guy.Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I would go back again. Enjoy.
Nothing fancy but fresh food and friendly service. Stopped in for lunch going through this town, lots of customers, reasonable food. We had turkey club and veggie wrap sandwiches, both were great. Restaurant is very clean, easy to find located just off town center.

Picked up a Buffalo Chicken Calzone today for lunch with my girlfriend. She orders from Pizza Top regularly.I got a $5 off coupon from Restaurant.com and thought I'd surprise her!I enjoyed the calzone. It was cooked well, had a good kick to it, and the marinara we got on the side was interesting too...had a sort of smokey flavor to it. Not sure how their pizza tastes with it, but the calzone was yummy.

We had not been to this restaurant since it changed from Florence's to Portofino. We recognized the interior, the Italy scenes painted on the walls--very familiar. We were cheerfully greeted and seated promptly. Our server was attentive, efficient, and took care of everything we asked for. The menu is extensive. Companion's veal saltimbocca was carefully prepared, the pappardelle pasta was homemade and fresh, and the chef did not skimp on the seasonings. My cioppino must have had a pound of seafood, and it, too, was richly seasoned, including generous portions of red pepper flake and garlic. The establishment came up a bit short, however, on three things: 1) both the veal saltimbocca and my seafood were rubbery. We think they were simply overcooked, which is an easy fix; 2) the list of wines by the glass is limited. There are no descriptions of the winery or vintage. Only wines purchased by the bottle have this information. Companion noted that her San Giorgio wine tasted the same as my Chianti. They were generous pours, but not what she wanted; 3) the music in the sound system sounded like an Italian cat fight, not the typical, mellow tunes we hear at other Italian restaurants. Our server relieved us by turning the volume down. There was a speaker right above our table. We could barely hear ourselves talk. In sum, Portofino offers good food, great service, and its shortcomings are fixable. If you live nearby in Merrimack this is a convenient alternative to trucking down to Nashua or up to Manchester for Italian cuisine.

The pizza is very good, but the pasta and fried dinners are, as well. Homemade soups in the winter are scrumptious - love the chicken and wild rice! Plus, if you time it right, you can get homemade cookies! (My favorites are the butterscotch chip!)

This quaint bistro has great service, but it's not quite like the food in the North End. More flavors/spices are needed; too bland, but potion size was very generous and the fresh pasta was very good.

We had a late lunch on Mother's Day, and surprisingly we didn't have to wait too long, even with no reservation. Our server was friendly and efficient, in spite of how busy the restaurant was. My daughter-in-law had the two lobster special which she said was very good. The salads were very fresh and tasty. I had the prime rib, also a special for the day. I specifically asked if they had medium rare available, and was assured they did. I was disappointed because the meat was more medium to medium-well. I would not have ordered prime rib if I had known. In spite of that we had an enjoyable time.

Driven past this restaurant numerous times. Decided to stop. Excellent idea. Emily (our waitress) greeted our party of 4. It was lunch but not overly busy. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. All food was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the salmon. Portions were just enough.

Upon recommendations from several friends, 3 of us decided to go to Mangio Sano, this hot summer night. It was lucky we made a reservation as it was family night (Tuesday) and the restaurant filled up quickly. However, we never felt rushed, cramped, or neglected and proceeded to have great meals. We split an order of the Arancini, which is crispi risotto balls with mozzarella. Even though they are deep fried they were light and tasty and a wonderful appetizer. Let me also add that you get a basket of fresh bread and olive oil dipping sauce as soon as you set down. Two of us ordered the Carbonara which was made the right way (or at least how I have had it in Italy) with eggs not cream. This was very good and I had enough to bring some home. The third dish was the Arrabiata, which was just spicy enough in a light tasty tomato sauce. We all had salads as well that followed suit in taste and quality. We look forward to going back again soon to try some of the other dishes they offer. Well done to the attentive staff and chefs.!

This restaurant is quaint and has plenty of seating. Parking lot can be a bit tight when the restaurant is full. Staff is friendly and food is very good. They offer a nice selection of Italian dishes along with salads, fish, chicken, etc.
