This little restaurant is built into the medieval city wall of Hilpoltstein. The family that runs the place is very friendly and they cook very well. Good food at a great value.

Good Italian dinner after a long day of travel. Up at 545 on Friday and arrive in Frankfurt around noon, had some delays. Drove in 32 degree heat got to the time share at 330 and dinner at 530âish.

This restaurant is located right next to the castle as the name suggests. We definitely enjoyed our visit and the atmosphere -- it is a very cute and cozy restaurant. The food was fine, but nothing particularly memorable (we had a pizza and a paste dish). I would go back if I was in Roth, which is a rather small town, but would not go out of my way to come back here.

Eine relativ günstige Möglichkeit klassiche Küche gepaart mit einigen typischen ital. Speisen inkl. Pizzen (sehr gut) zu bekommen. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 14 Leuten angemeldet da und mussten bis zu 1,5 Stunden aufs Essen warten! Die Dorade kam als letzte Speise und war dann nicht nur nicht durch, sondern auch schlampig filetiert. Ging zu mehr als 50% ungegessen zurück. Bedienung hat sich höflich entschuldigt, das war es aber auch schon.Wir gehen da sicher nicht mehr hin.

I'll faggiano is an Italian restaurant which is being held by an Italian family. All 4 members of the family have the Mediterranean finetsa and with their smile and their good food "win" their customers and make them feel like home. I recommend it for Italian food , pizza or pasta whatever you like.

Who would've ever guessed that an Italian restaurant like this would be found in such a small German town. Their outdoor patio provided the perfect setting for the wonderful meal that followed. Presentation and attention to detail was pervasive through the evening. Octopus, carpaccio, veal saltimbocca, steak and pizza were on the menu along with bountiful salads and yummy desserts. Be sure to call ahead for reservations since this has become a very popular destination.
