Very nice ambiance, the food was excellent. We started with a very nice tagliatelle con funghi porcini. Main course was a brilliant beef fillet with green pepper sauce and finished off with a great panacotta. My dinner partener, an Italian from Napoli classed this as the best Italian restaurant in Romania. Very kind owner who is also the chef, named Sergio. In one word, brilliant!

We came from US to visit family in Alba Iulia. They chose this restaurant to meet. We had so much to catch up and so happy to see everybody. We ordered so much food, drinks etc, Only after 15 minutes in, during dinner, the restaurant turned on all the TVs they had, very, VERY LOUD. So loud, nobody could hear a word, we couldn't talk, communicate. I went to ask an waiter to lower the volume and he said they are waiting for a soccer game and they don't want to lower the volume. I asked to see the manager, and the owner/manager came to tell me, on a cold almost rude tone that everybody comes there for the game.. There was only another table with six people trying to talk between themselves just like us. Everybody had their back to the tvs, so besides the waiters and owner, I guess no guest wanted to see the game, much less to hear it so loud. Very rude behavior, food was mediocre, nothing to brag about. Just for how they treat customers (especially who spent a lot in their place) I would never go back. What a disappointment !

Thought we would try it again, this time with the kids! Unfortunately seems things worsened since our visit there last year. The place looked dirty, as if no tables have ever been wiped. You can forget about sitting outside since! The tables face an alleyway & nothing but over grown shrubs to block the unattractive view. Also the young waitstaff sat a table next to us, with cell phones, pocketbooks & papers scattered on it. And yes the two that were present congregated there. No cleaning taking place. Although our waitress was friendly there was still plenty of room for improvement.The food arrived in installments! Teodora's meal did NOT arrive with the the others but additional 15 minutes later after we inquired about the delay! And all she had ordered was a pasta dish! The food when it did arrive was indeed tasty but the damage of the long wait was already done. And can you imagine an Italian restaurant that doesn't serve spaghetti & meatballs! LOL!There will not be a third visit...

We went there for a quick breakfast and it was a pleasant surprise. The food is good and the service is fine. The English breakfast is particularly good. Value for money is excellent. Highly recommended!

I've arrived there with modest expectations, since I was aware that Alba Iulia is a small town and I was craving for a traditional pizza, therefore my expectations have not been deceived.The pizza was correctly cooked and the recipe was traditional with mostly imported ingredients, altough the tomato sauce was some canned ordinary ketchup poured in small mugs.The scenery gave me the feeling that I've travelled back in time, in the romanian communist era.

The restaurant has an Italian specific, we ordered pizza and sauteed vegetables, the food was very good. However, the service was not prompt, we waited half an hour for our dessert! Also, the bill included an item we didn't order. We told the waitress, she excused herself, but... I don't think we will ever go there again.Dear Guest,Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed our food and that you tried also our pizza. However, we must apologize for the service and the extra item included on the bill. Everything was above expectations!I visited before very good restaurants in Italy ( Abruzzo) where they say you will find the best fish in the whole country; well , I can say Cibo di Vino makes no difference! Highly recommended!

Great ambiance, delicious food and outstanding service.Visited Dante several times during our 2 week stay in Alba Iulia. Every time the service was prompt and extremely professional. The food was always served timely, the presentation was at the highest standards and everything I tried was delicious: Supa crema de cartofi, Ciorba de vacuta, Rasol de miel, Piept Rata, Scarita de porc, Tentacula de caracatita, Pizza quatro formaggi cu salam picant, and Bruschete. For desert, I tried the Inghetata la strada (all 3 flavors) and Duo Chocolat.I tried the Detu...ica Cocktail and it was an interesting experience. My favorite wines served at Dante must be the locally produced Domeniul Ciumbrud selection - I encourage everyone to give it a try.
