Because of the good rating here we thought of trying the Osteria. We chose two mixed grill and two Tiramisus. The mixed grill was just superb. The tiramisu was made with beer!!! Instead of coffee/liquour and it was wery good. The ambiance was classical/modern and the service was excellent. Most of the guests were locals. Notice that this is an Osteria so they don't have a very broad list of food. No pizzas and no fish but if you want excellent meat ths is the place to go.

Acquaviva Picena is one of those typical Marchese villages, perched high on a hill top and commanding spectacular views across plunging vineyards and olive groves. La Paesana sits on a cliff top overlooking exactly such views; but the trouble is, they placed the kitchens in position with the view, and the dining room facing the road! Good for the staff, poor for the visitors. Having said that, this is the best place to eat in this beautiful little town, testified by being packed with happy local people at lunchtime. Mostly a meat-eating destination, great cold cuts and cheeses, generous portions of everything, at low prices. Inexpensive local wines by the carafe, or a good choice from the wine list, always well-priced. What's not to like, apart from the view? Warning: don't always trust the translations into English on the menu - there are some real howlers! Roast Chicken is described as 'Mixed Cheeses', for example.

This is a hit restaurant! I don't Know where to start from. The location is stunning: in the Ancient heart of San Benedetto, right next to a square with a breathtaking Belvedere terrace. The restaurant impresses the most for its romantic atmosphere that intertwines with a shabby chic character. And then the food...mouthwatering. the variety and accuracy of the menu are hardly found anywhere else, anybody can eat here: vegeterians, meat lovers, pregnant women; Alessandro, the owner, will make sure you will have the best food experience ever. So, wonderful location, top quality food, amazing friendly and caring staff, nice prices... this is the place to be!

Recover the flavors of the past and make them current. From here the rediscovery of traditional dishes, adding a pinch of novelty
Being there with friends to taste this special resturant where the research of exclusive and superb ingredients give the impression of very particular way of eating. But I can confirm that the choise of ingredients are at top quality the problem is that you don't recognise this choise. The dishes are extremely elaborated and you don't recognise what are you eating. I got fish dressed with mint cream and I had in my mouth only the mint taste fish was something that you chewy but with no taste. The same happened for rabbit or chicken that the other people had on my table. Expensive but if you consider the work that the chef put for every dishes is not that expensive. The experience was in any case a delusion. Try yourself.

The Restaurant La Contrada is open every evening and Sunday lunch by reservation only. The house specialty is beef or "cut Marche" cooked on lava rock. Also you can taste all the key specialties of the Piceno area and taste the best wines of Italy.Il Rist
We had the opportunity to dine at La Contrada with some friends who own a B&B near by. It certainly helps anytime to order with a local on your side. Our experience was very good. We ordered 1 kilo of beef to serve 2 couples and it was enough along with some pasta and grilled veggies. It was fun having Paulo slice the slab of meat and then cooking it ourselves to our liking on the hot rock. The place is not easy to find and there are some blind ridges on the way up but worth the trip.Thank you for having spent an evening with us!Come back and visit us again when you want to enjoy all of our specialties! For us it is always important to have good customers satisfied with our Special Meat! See you soon

This was highly recommend to us and walking distance from our hotel which was nice. Beautiful decor and setting in basement with grottos. Food was better than average but pricy. Service was ok but I think because we were foreigners we were not treated as nicely as I saw the locals being treated which is too bad since we are moving to the area soon.

The food at this restaurant is amazing. I really can't say it enough. I would eat the risotto every night for the rest of my life, I think. What it lacks in ambience, it more than makes up for in food. Also, on a personal note, there is a little dog outside that lives at the restaurant. He showed up 10 years ago with several gunshot wounds. The owners took him to the vet, got him all fixed up, and now he lives there and greets guests. Yeah for them!

I love this place! Rustic old world Italian. I've been going at least once a year with family and have never been disappointed! They serve typical regional dishes. They have the absolute best variety of appetizers! Love Le Olive Ascolane, il farro, pomodori arrosto, grilled eggplant & zucchini, fagioli and all the homemade lunch meats! I Primi are fantastic Girasole with Olive oil & sage, bauletti stuffed with mushrooms, tagliatelle with an awesome meat sauce! Usually stuffed by the time we get to the meats! The Arrostiscini are always delicious too! After dinner walk it off in the beautiful town of Acquaviva!!

You must go down the stairs and ring the bell to get in. We had their home made spinach and cheese ravioli with mushrooms, very tasty. Then mixed grilled meats, just the right seasonning, and fried stuffed olives. We've had these a few times but last night was the best. The house red wine was very good.
