Ate here one evening and one lunchtime during our recent stay in the area. Food typical Tuscan fare, basic but good, lovely homemade desserts. Waitress really helpful and pleasant. Cover charge only â¬1 charged at both dinner and snacks at lunch-time, complimentary appetiser and bread at dinner but not lunch-time.

In the heart of the city Poliziano, in the cellars of the Palace Bucelli, one of the most characteristic buildings of Montepulciano, is born The Other Corners, a restaurant that reflects the typical Tuscan tradition eras with a modern, using only local pr
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cantuccio, opting to sit inside, where the tables are comfortably spaced and the decor bright and modern.Several of our menu selections were innovative, with interesting combinations of flavours and textures. Likewise, the local wines were interesting and delicious. The service was friendly and quite professional.Although the prices weren't cheap, we thought that overall, the quality of the food and wine represented reasonable value.

How amazing to hike through the Tuscany countryside, up and down undulating hills, to the Toscani farm, where the once-endangered, presently famous, Cinta Senese pigs roam freely and happily, then to lunch at Bradi Toscani, which features the delectable meat of these animals in salami and other cuts. We also had a rich and hearty vegetable soup and enjoyed a select bottle of Montepulciano Brunella, known worldwide.Buying that wine was a mistake! The gregarious owner of Bradi Toscani sent us to a bar/winery/cave "down the street" named Cantina Porte del Sol, which is also in his family. There, the gregarious staff gave us a tour of what surely is an ancient cave. We also sampled a wine named after the three Toscani brothers which had an extraordinary complexity and provided the perfect finale for a wonderful day.Next time, Bradi Toscani all the way!!!!

We dropped by on the off-chance on Friday evening and were seated inside with window views over the lovely countryside. Dinner, while not inventive or imaginative, was copious, well-presented and of a high quality, with a strong meat bias and good pasta dishes - we much enjoyed our pici al ragu di cinghiale. Table service was attentive and friendly.Easy parking at the end of the short but very bumpy driveway leading to the locanda.Thanks..hope to see you again..our philosophy: quality first.!!..ciao..

Went with the waiter's recommendation of the Penelope sandwhich (which I ordered) and Pappardelle Cinghiale (which my husband ordered). Both dishes were exceptional!! The service was very good as well! Highly recommend!!

One of my favorite places to eat. No... my most favorite place to eat. Great food, traditional but not overly simple, reasonable priced. Try the appetizer's plate for two people, but don't plan for a full meal after it!Even the Pizza is excellent and biiigg!

Situated on the Villa Nottola Winery but run as an independent business. Staff are always smiling and helpful, views from the terrace over to Montepulciano are both beautiful and relaxing. If you get to have a meal on the terrace during a thuderstorm views over the valley are amazing.Food is all excellent, we especially recommend the local Picci, Lamb and for desert the Vin Santo and Cantuccini which has to be the best in the area - nothing like the smaller drier biscuit one buys in the cheese shops etc.If you are staying in the area for a number of days then try a number of the restaurants, we keep coming back to this one.

Opened in 1977 and personally run by the owners, Paolo and Manuela. Here you can taste traditional Tuscan dishes prepared by Pia such as bread soup, beans, ceci, roast meat and Chianina meat, home-made pasta and delicious tomato and meat sauces. You can e
We have been visiting L'Angolo for at least ten years, in the summer. It is on a back street in Acquaviva, and easily missed if you just drive through. However, you can very conveniently include a trip to nearby Montepulciano, but eat at L'Angolo afterwards instead of high prices in Montepulciano! Inside it is stylish and beautifully arranged, or you can sit comfortably in the green space outside. We have our favourite dishes: pear and gorgonzola pizza (never seen on another menu) and a good range of dishes with fresh truffle, in season. Two of us are vegan and appreciate the pizza marinara, tomato and garlic, and pici (pasta) with a vegan garlicky sauce - there are many other vegan options too. Their panna cotta is properly made, served with berries, and (I have checked this dish in lots of places!) one of the best. Again, there are several fruit based options for vegans. It is always difficult to choose from the excellent menu. The service is friendly and personal - always acknowledging regular customers, even if you go once or twice in a year. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced, compared to other establishments. You can enjoy local wine at the full range of prices, and can ask for advice. We have been so impressed sometimes that we have bought a few bottles to take home.Just a word about grappa - lots of choice and served spectacularly from a very long, 1.5m glass bottle, kinda stretched into a narrow tube....most entertaining performance, which provoked a spontaneous "bravo" from our table! This restaurant is highly recommended for local produce and excellent choice of dishes and wine, good value, and consistently high standards of service. It is a gem and much appreciated.

This is (among other things) a great spot to take a lunch break when driving the A1. It's easy to reach, the food is excellent and it's cheap. We had good pastas (inc. vongole, as it was on the weekend) and tagliati.
