Ask is an Italian style restaurant in the centre of Abingdon in a great location. We came with a group and I personally thought the food to be average and uninspired and the service intermittent at best. The staff were friendly but simply not enough of them on a busy night. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby that I will try next time I visit. Wine list no more than OK. Shame really as this could be a great place to eat.

Don't be put off as the frontage of this restaurant looks a little dated, but the food and service are truly excellent! Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and served with tempura courgette and side of green beans, Lasagne was lovely and reminded me of how it tasted in Italy, not to be confused with your high street versions :). How else to end but Tiramisu, ice chilled Limoncello all accompanied by two very nice bottles of Orvieto and a bill under £150! Not bad for 4 of us. Will be returning for sure.

The food is always good and reliable at Pizza Express, but what really made our visit a great experience tonight was the faultless service. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and our main waitress was lovely- just the right mix of helpfulness and friendliness. Thank you! Also, the rhubarb and prosecco fizz on the summer menu is fab!

We ordered a Forno on the 06/04 and was not disappointed. It was delivered within 45 minutes. We order scampi & chips, a spaghetti and meatballs, a stuziccini started and a cheesy garlic bread with caramelized onions. Everything was beautifully cooked.The only thing to improve is the stuziccini is advertised as coming with chilli oil but it never seems to arrive with it!
