Reviews on Italian food in Abbasanta, Province of Oristano, Italy including Su Carduleu, Stone Art Cafe, Valparaiso, Ristorante al Marchi, Stone Art Cafe, Le Plaisir, Pizzeria Fuori Misura, Pappa e Pizza, Crazy Pizza, Penny Red

Molto grande, fine, pasta ben lievitata e ben condita è esattamente come piace a me.

Even though she didn't speak English, the waitress was very helpful and friendly. The food was very good. Best carbonara I ever had.

Sometimes you can find the most enjoyable experiences in the places you least expect to find them. Near the junction where the motorways from Sassari and Olbia meet to continue together towards Cagliari lies Ghilarza, an unremarkable village. Its shopping centre, right next to the motorway exit, looks like a dull warehouse. The kind of place that no tourist would normally go near. However, hidden in it lies an exceptional café. Two young stone masons from the village have let their imagination run riot and filled the place both fantastic and beautiful stone art â tables, basins, statues, clocks, even a stone car. And they sell the stuff too! That the service is good and their croissants are fresh is of course an added bonus making it well worth a visit.

We celebrate my mother's birthday at this restaurant. We had mixed started with seafood, mushroom, polenta, cheese, etc. 3 of us had pennette pasta with simply tomato sauce; others had pasta with mushroom and pasta with grated bottarga. One didn't have pasta and had steak instead. One eat starter only. We drunk 1 bottle of a cheap wine and 2 bottles of water. Some had desert. I was very disappointed when I got the bill: we have been charged 30 euros each like lump sum charge. This is ridiculous for who had started only and for having eaten pennette with tomato sauce. Also when you order pasta with bottarga the waiter has to ask if you want it grated or sliced. The second choice is far better because you are getting it fresh and tasty. Overall the started were very good, but the experience was extremely unpleasant.

Had an hour to have lunch with my colleague and the waiter kept his word and served us in time. A little bit disappointed with the ravioli with cazisolu, the oil was a bit old and the mushrooms and tomatoes killed the flavour of the ravioli filling, a nice size portion though! My friend had the tagliatelle which he found a bit salty but tasty!Overall a very nice place but maybe a little bit more attention to details should be paid, especially regarding the food! The price was right and the atmosphere just right for this kind of place.

Superfici pulite, leggere, flessuose. Rivelano atmosfere ovattate, ambienti hi tech, forme essenziali. C
Several years ago, we were greatly surprised to come across the wonderful Stone Art Cafe in Ghilarza. When we heard that the young stone masons had opened another cafe in neighbouring Abbasanta, we were keen to see what they had created this time. We were not disappointed! Next to a rather ordinary supermarket, they have created another spectacular cafe where their skills with stone are fully displayed. Make sure to have a look in both the lady's and gent's toilets. But there was more. This place was not just a place to got to have a good coffee with something tasty on the side, they served innovative hamburgers too. A far cry from McDonalds, you create your own hamburgers out of high quality local products that will more than satisfy your hunger. The freshly made crisps served warm and artisan beer were especially appreciated. And the service was very kind, fast and considerate. We will return. Thanks Gustav1957,We are very pleased to see you still remember our first Cafè after all these years and visited us again when knowing of the opening of our new creation; this fills our hearts with joy. This shows us one thing: you are on the right path.Actually, we would like this message to be heard; our goal is to open more Stone Art Cafès, bonded by the same raw materials and by the same philosophy: hospitality and the quality of the ingredients offered. We cannot wait to see you again and who knows that in a few years a Stone Art Cafe in Sweden will be open! We like to dream!See you soon
