Things to do in Slane
My wife and I were driving past this restaurant (which is also a B&B) and it was lunch time. Looked inviting so we went in.We both ordered the "roast" which consisted of ham and turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and an order of steamed mixed vegetables. The food was excellent. Ambiance of the restaurant was very pleasant. Dark wood tones.Clean restrooms.Friendly service.Price for the two of us for the set dinner was EUR21.90. We thought this very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food and service. We saw another table who had ordered fish and chips. Looked like a generous portion served piping hot.Would recommend if you are passing through. Not too far from Bru Na Boinne Visitor Center so a good choice either before or after visiting this site.

We dined here on the recommendation of our B&B host and found it enjoyable. The pub-like ambiance is spacious, comfortable and inviting. The staff were friendly but the service was quite slow because there were so few serving staff on the evening we were here. Nevertheless, our food was delicious and the portions plentiful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend eating here.

I had my birthday dinner here with 14 family members and the staff at Room 8 could not have been more accommodating. Everyone was happy with their food and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. We were not rushed out at the end of the night. I would definitely recommend Room 8 and I'm looking forward to my next visit

The food at Zucchini's was great! The vegetable soup and goat cheese three ways were our favorite. The wine was good and the service was great. We would definitely come back to this restaurant!
This is a relatively new local restaurant. It's an inn, or pub, it's out of the way, it's quite rural. We weren't rushing to visit, to be honest. I liked them on Facebook, and realised that the food looked far superior to the bog-standard "pub food" I'd expected.Myself and the husband paid them a visit, and they far exceeded our expectations. By the time we'd visited we expected it to be good - but not as good as it was. Nice seating area, really pleasant and efficient service, very warm welcome, and the food was excellent. Beyond excellent. Whole Hogg pork shoulder wrapped in crispy pork belly, tomato aoili, parsnip puree, roquette pesto, served with toasted walnuts and cranberries. How nice was it? Well, the husband and I visited last night, and tonight I have a friend staying, and we're returning for a second visit. The next day. You know when you go to a restaurant and start listing all the people who'd love it? Well, that.Delighted to have such a great place so local to me.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly efficient staff - Especially "Shane From Slane"Overall a lovely meal, great presentation and excellently overseen by the Restaurant Supervisor..One small critism: If your not specific , a vodka and tonic was a Finlandia Vodka and Mediteranean Fever Tree Tonic - not a great mix really. That's me just being picky maybe. 4 out of 5 stars. Will definately be back for more.

We stayed here overnight as a special treat during an Irish 'road trip' this year and wish maybe we had taken two nights. The breakfast in the cellar bar is great and will appeal to all. In other words, there's the super healthy option of fruits, granolas and juices, right through to the full Irish fry or the delicious pastries. Or why not have a combination? Thanks to our waitress for breakfast who was very charming and couldn't do enough for us.Dear sennockred,Many thanks for your great review. I am glad you enjoyed your breakfast at Tankardstown, and thank you for sharing your pleasant experience with others. I hope you will return again soon, should you find yourself in the area.Kindest Regards,Gary Britton

We went here for lunch and were very well looked after. However the cooking is not great and was abit disappointing. We only had light bites so perhaps the Sunday roast is better.Dear Susan,Thank you for your review and for visiting our restaurant at Conyngham Arms. Appropriately named after the previous owner of Tankardstown, our flagship restaurant boasts fine dining and a cosy atmosphere. With recent accolades including 2AA Rosettes, RAI's Best Chef in Meath and Best Hotel Restaurant in Meath, Brabazon Restaurant
We were staying nearby and booked dinner for my wife's birthday. We arrived an hour early by mistake but this was no problem. Everything about the meal was superb from the amuse bouche and sorbet to the 3 courses we ordered (soup/venison to start, pork belly and duck for mains). The staff couldn't have been better, they had that great mix of pleasant and attentive without being overbearing or false. For what we got, the price is fantastic too. Overall would highly recommend a trip here. Dear Marketeer83,Thank you for your very kind and comprehensive review. I am very pleased to hear you enjoyed your time at Brabazon on this special occasion. I will be delighted to pass on your kind comments to chef and our waiting team, who I know will really appreciate them. Thank you for your recommendation and I hope we can welcome you back again soon.Kindest Regards,Gary Britton

Inside Out restaurant in the heart of the beautiful village of Slane, offers a warm welcome to our customers in cosy candle lit Mediterranean surroundings of olive trees and laurels. Our passion for food is translated into our menu focusing on freshness,
My mother and I stopped in here for dinner on our way through Slane. Although we had no booking, Edel kindly accommodated us. We had the ribeye steak and the hake, and they were both outstanding. To quote my mother âThis is the tastiest meal Iâve ever had!â High praise indeed, and well deserved. The staff were so polite and helpful also, thank you. A definite must but booking ahead is advised due to its popularity.
