Dined here while staying at the hotel. Service manager is a great host (can't remember his name but starts with a "L") and checked up on us often. Seafood soup is delicious and chock full of seafood in large bowl. Mushroom appetizer was OK. Lamb is served braised, more like a stew. The Hake fish was nicely cooked and moist. The server cleared the bread before the main course but would have been a nice accompaniment to the lamb dish. Wished carvery was served in the evening but is lunch only.

I visited this spot as I was looking for a lovely kebab and chip spot. I think it's hard to find a nice kebab shop around galway. I went in and ordered my kebab and chips. I have to say I couldn't fault the chips they were gorgeous with vinegar and salt on them. However, the kebab I wasn't that impressed with. It just didn't taste or look great. I was disappointed.

Been to this supermacs three times, each and every time we were greeted with a warm friendly welcome from what I assume is the manager Ultan. He served us in a polite & very friendly manner and was more than helpful. The last time we visited, the pizza ovens had just been shut down but Ultan offered to turn them back on if we wanted pizza (which we didn't but the fact he offered to go out of the way to do this for us was above & beyond from a customers point of view). This restaurant offers more than exceptional customer service and the reason we return to this supermacs is because of this.

Having ate here with work colleagues on a few occasions & had good experiences, was keen to try on a weekend day.I got the goats cheese quiche, found it hard to find the goats cheese & it was really dried out, obviously had been sitting out under lights for too long, was disappointed with the selection of salads also which basically consisted of coleslaw & lettuce sprinkled with sweet corn & onion with a slice of soda bread oddly accompanied on the side. My partner got the beef burger & was asked if he wanted a bun? & it came with no sauce/relish so was very plain. Definitely not worth the â¬30 we paid, felt the coffee was the best part. Very unlikely to return.

Recently ate here while passing through from Galway. I had the steak sandwich. Which was very tasty. My wife had the roast beef. The beef was very tough. But then again this was late in the evening. The waitress who was very friendly and accommodating changed the beef for a fresh plate. The fresh plate was a lot more tasty. She thought the vegetables were quite soft and spongy. As if reheated. Over all the experience was quite pleasant. Would stop here again.

Theres a reason McDonaghs has been around for so long - there's no competition! You can sit in private booths or mixed seating where you end up talking to people from locals to tourists from all over the world. The food is great and the fish is very fresh.

While staying at my hotel in Oranmore, I decided to give this place a try for an evening meal. On arrival I was shown to my table & presented with a menu, while my drinks order was being prepared. My sizzling meal duly arrived & it was beautifully presented. It was top quality & served by a very cheerful & friendly waitress. The service was as good as the food & one was given the impression that you were known there eventhough that was not the case. I will be happy to return on my next visit.
