A must stop in the village of Fairport, just north of the Erie Canal. Excellent food, the service is great and a very comfortable place to sit and relax for a beer, snack, lunch, or dinner. A wife range of choices to eat and the portions are above average. We love visiting Donnelly's. Right next door is a great place for pizza: TKs. A must stop as well!

We go here all the time. Have always appreciated the service, love the atmosphere and the high back booths make our silly family fun feel like weâre almost at home getting away with our nonsense without many people noticing. It wasn't too crowded on a recent Saturday evening when we stopped in for dinner. I've heard that Friday nights for the fish fry can be absolutely jammed. We did have to wait 20 minutes or so for a table though it appeared some tables were empty. Once seated our waitress was very efficient getting us our food and drinks.The menu is pretty big with both typical tavern fare and some real Irish specialties. We both ordered the beef on weck - it was a solid sandwich. The roll was excellent. The onion rings were good for being breaded, though I prefer beer battered. And the fries were huge.Overall a good choice in Fairport.
