The Reading Cafe and Book Exchange
We not only ate there once but twice as they not only have a wonderful coffee/tea cafe but a wonderful lunch menu. My wife had the soup of the day both days with a salad and capped it off with an gluten free dairy free dessert. A must stop when in Kinsale

Max's Seafood Restaurant in Kinsale was established in 1978 and serves a wide array of carefully crafted seafood dishes by resident head chef and owner Olivier Queva. Early Bird menu available, daily specials, and the best array of fine wines and local ch
I didn't give Max's an Excellent because we were seated next to a family with three bratty, indulged little girls. They were annoying. I like children, but not when their antics display poor upbringing. Anyway, given the rest of this review, you may or may not think I was overly critical. We arrived in Kinsale well into the dinner hour. Almost every dining place in town was full with a long wait, or not even open. At Max's they told us they were full, but then they did some creative re-arrangement and found us a table. This and the rest of the service were excellent. We got a half-dozen local oysters and a braised pork belly entree. All their food is locally sourced where possible, and they even identify the sources. Unfortunately, we were not overly hungry, so we probably didn't do their menu full justice. Atmosphere was cozy and tasteful, and the prices were only a little on the high side of reasonable.

Gorgeous evening overlooking the water and setting sun with the vivacious Natasha providing us excellent service. Four of us enjoyed duck spring roll special for starter, together with menu item calamari, very lighted breaded and flavorful. Also chose specials for main, two of the crushed and seared tuna and two of a monk fish and scallop duo over just perfect risotto. Both outstanding. The location is a few kilometers from town Centre but worth the trip. Stairs to climb above the co located pub.

Historically Kinsale was a major port, a battleground of significance in Irish history and the ill faLusitania sank off the nearby Old Head. Today it is a leading Irish tourist attraction, the Southerly starting point of the Wild Atlantic Way and a renowned gourmet hot spot. The Cosy Cafe is centrally located and serves turbo charged coffee, breakfast, an eclectic brunch, lunch and a truly decedent selection of cakes and pastries. It seems to be always busy, a sure indication that whatever they are doing, there is no need to fix it! For a luxurious yet healthy brunch it is hard to imagine anything bettering a choice of eggs, Benedict, Florentine or Royale, it just hits the button every time, even for the most demanding of foodies. Service is friendly and attentive and the overall ambience is pleasing, yes they've cracked it here and get it eggsactly right every time!

We paid a visit to Leonaâs after it was recommended to us. We were told we wouldnât be disappointed and We were not. We had scrambled egg and poached egg. To say it was âdivineâ is an understatement. Every crumb was scrumptious. We had the âworksâ. After breakfast we had a scone and tea and then coffee. The scone was divine and as for the butter..... even nicer. Mary is just amazing as she does things to perfection eg scalding the teapot which allows the tea to be hot for longer. Mary explained how she got the eggs so beautiful... again the old fashioned methods. On top of everything Mary was very sociable and entertaining. You must go to Leonaâs in Kinsale.

Located in 1840's building close to where the high tide reached in Kinsale in olden times. Decorated to reflect the town's nautical connections and maritime tradition. The menu features locally sourced ingredients and each dish is prepared to order by che

Evening Restaurant in the centre of Kinsale, classy vibe, great cocktails. Opening in our new restaurant April 10th
On my last visit to Kinsale the Supper Club was in a different location but left lasting memories. My most recent visit found them in newer premises and more in the main âwalkingâ streets of Kinsale. If anything the Supper Club has not only moved but managed to become an even nicer and more memorable place to visit.Exceptional service and a clear menu plus daily specials and of course the incredible cocktails. The fish dishes are cooked to perfection and beautifully served - I had cooked mussels coated with a crumb...followed by John Dory - spectacular. Others has ribs to start and a steak - There are options for light bites, Supper and Main courses to suit every single taste. Smiles all round from the moment you enter to the time you leave...however you really need to book to ensure a place -

We were staying for the weekend in Kinsale and had pre-booked the Black Pig for the Friday night. It was very close to our hotel which was great and we received a warm welcome and were show to our table immediately even though we were early. We ordered a special of prawns in a light chilli sauce as well as Mushrooms on roast and a chorizo risotto. All of the food was delicious as was the dry white wine from the (very) extensive wine list. My little gripes are on â¬14 for small bowl of very small prawns (about 10) is excessive as is charging â¬3 for a "side" dish of sliced French baguette (which was quite dry) to soak up the sauce. All in all however this is a lovely, homely place with good service and delicious food.

Michelin star awarded Restaurant, we serve an eight course menu. We strive to serve locally sourced ingredients where possible and better.
I was astonishing to see that weâd dined for over 150 minutes. The pace was relaxed, I didnât feel like there were long lags between the courses, and the food was amazing. I canât believe anyone can make peas taste so good. It is expensive (â¬200 for 2 including a bottle of wine) but I thought the value was fair. Iâd dine here again in a heartbeat. Great experience

Cru was born out of a simple desire to provide locals and tourists with a cosy, warm, atmospheric place where they can enjoy simple but high quality food, pick out a lovely wine by the glass or bottle, and have fun. This is a happy place...and I hope patr
My husband and I dined here and we were not disappointed. The staff were very pleasant, polite and attentive. The food was top notch and was the wine. The owner came over and introduced himself and made time to talk to his diners which was nice. We would recommend but book as is very popular
