Reviews on Irish food in Killarney, Province of Munster, Ireland. Forget fashionable footwear, only your most comfortable shoes will cut it in Killarney. It's a walking town, and every trail is a history lesson. Journey on foot through Ireland's first national park, 26,000 acres of woodlands, sandstone mountains and low-lying lakes. When your feet wear out, take in Killarney National Park via boat from Ross Castle. And because there are more hotel beds in Killarney than in any other Irish town or city (besides Dublin), you'll always have a place to rest your head (and feet).

The 1870's were eventful years. Queen Victoria became Empress of India, the telephone was invented and J.M. Reidys was built on Main Street, Killarney. One of Killarney's most photographed buildings, J M Reidys re-opened under new management by the Sheaha
Really worth having a good look around as there are lots of nooks and crannies with different areas including an outdoor courtyard. We were there at a busy lunchtime and had to wait at the bar till a table was available. Service was excellent and we really enjoyed chatting with the waitress. Food was lovely. Quirky and interesting. Lots to look at

We had a beautiful dinner and it's very delicious. We have nature oysters and mussels for starter. Then ordered the Salmon and Lamb for main course, last is dessert, Pavlova. All dishes were cooked so good, price is reasonable. Satisfied with the dinner and highly recommended.

Welcoming visitors and locals alike for over 100 years, Hannigans Bar & Restaurant is one of Killarney's best-loved and much-acclaimed historic drinking and dining establishments. Enjoy all-day dining from 10.00am to 9pm with superb, locally sourced produ
Great food and friendly staff with an awesome atmosphere is the perfect combination for a dining or drinking experience. They have the same menu in the pub and dining room. We had dinner here before going to the Celtic Steps and enjoyed it so much that we went back the next night to sit at the bar and have dessert. The cheesecake was delicious with a beautiful presentation and was the perfect compliment to our Guinness.

The stylish Cellar Restaurant is at the heart of The Ross with truly individual design features. Leading from the Pink Lounge down the elegant stairs into The Cellar Restaurant is impressive, and from here on your evening will continue in this same vein.
Stayed at the Ross for 5 days on a golf trip. We ate at the Ross the first and last night we were in Killarney. Both dinners were outstanding. Our entire group had very low expectations for dining experiences going into the trip and while at half of the places that we ate at we were correct but The Ross blew us away. The selection, quality, taste and service were first rate. All 8 of us were raving about our meals afterwards. Most of us had salmon or lamb but a couple of guys had the pork belly which was incredible. It was so good we ate there on our last night which made us forget all of the bad meals we had elsewhere.Dear Mike,Thank you for taking the time out to write about your experience here at the Ross. We are delighted to have exceeded expectations. Our team prides themselves on providing high quality food and service, therefore we are thrilled to hear of your appreciation. We look forward to welcoming you all back to Killarney again very soon.Best wishes,Hazel

Set above BricÃn Shop, BricÃn Restaurant and Boxty House is a well known name on the lips of many people. Opened in November 1991, its popularity is down to the fine food produced by Owner/Chef Paddy McGuire and by the warmth of welcome and hospitality sh
We were fortunate to get a booking for this restaurant last night. All six of us had a most enjoyable meal , the scallops were the best I ever tasted, only criticism I have that I thought 4 scallops for a main course dish was really not enough considering the price but I accept that they were quite big. The garlic potato and stir fry veg were cooked to perfection. My dessert of creme brulee was excellent

Iâm honestly laughing out loud about the reviews about the food being not up to par. Our food was outstanding...but if youâre not going here for the outstanding whiskey selection then move along lads. Staff was ridiculously attentive in recommending various very *rate* whiskeys. And very knowledgeable. Our evening was perfect. Best whiskey bar in Killarney.

One of the best meals I had while traveling in Ireland. I had the mushroom pasta (ravioli) ... it was delicious. Everyone at our table was happy with their meal and then the dessert came ... WOW. Strawberry cheesecake with the most incredible vanilla ice cream I have ever had. Strange to be raving about vanilla ice cream, but it was that good!! We also had the Eton Mess, which was hands down the best dessert I had on my trip. I would go back to Killarney just to dine at Murphy Brownes again!Dear Tinybird, Delighted you enjoyed your meals, we pride ourselves on good wholesome tasty food.. I(Dee) make all our cheesecakes so delighted you liked it..We are thrilled that you enjoyed your experience with us and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.Warm Regards Dee and Denis
