Olivers Restaurant is a casual dining restaurant at the heart of the community here in Ballyhackamore, East Belfast. Easily accessible via the G1 Glider from the centre of the city.
Another super meal at Oliver's Restaurant. Nice company, great flat iron steak and at superb value on the early bird menu.Last night's treat was an apple tart using what was styled 'Cabin Hill apples'. This is a townland a few hundred metres from the front door. Nice touch. Also it was the name of a local prep school now called Campbell College Junior School.

Iâd booked for Sunday evening and it was a restricted menu? Why? The service was just ok as was the food. Would I recommend to friends? NO. Will we be back anytime soon? NO. Not like it used to be at all. Sad really. Hi,Please forgive the delay in responding to this review. We were a bit confused by your comment, "it was a restricted menu", and, as you hadn't mentioned which Sunday you were in, we weren't sure how to answer as we can't recall having a restricted menu on a Sunday. We do have a Sunday menu, which is different to our usual weekday menu. Might this be what you mean? Most, if not all restaurants would have a different Sunday menu because of the demand for roasts etc. and we also offer kids eat free on a Sunday, but we do think there is ample choice on the Sunday menu to suit all tastes.Or perhaps you were in on a special Sunday such as Father's Day. On days like this we would put on a special menu as well as other things like additional entertainment or something special for the kids. Might this be what you mean?In short, we're not sure what your comment about a restricted menu refers to, and we hope your comment on the food is a reflection of your impression of "restricted". We think we're as good as we ever were; it's the same kitchen team, same suppliers etc.If this response has not answered your concern, please, do contact us directly.RegardsMolly Brown's Management Team

I go here from time to time to get a good honest home cooked breakfast or lunch with great service, reasonable prices and I am made feel very welcome. Great too for childrenâs meals, brilliant alternative to McDonaldâs with a wide variety to choose from. Iâve lived in the area for about twelve years and only been coming to the Willow Tree for about two. Give it a try, once discovered youâll be hooked.

You know the old saying, when on holiday go where the locals go, well McBrides is that place.Set right on the Square in the heart of Comber, McBrides is truly a flagship for community pubs. Locals from all generations choose McBrides for the warm friendly
The restaurant is on the first floor, above the bar, however, it has it's own entrance. There are good views over the square from some of the tables. My husband and I had dinner there on New Years Eve. The restaurant was busy enough to have a buzz however it was not overcrowded and the waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was well prepared and presented and was served promptly. I found the price paid to be reasonable and will certainly visit again.

This cafe/deli/shop is simply wonderful and we try and get here at least once on our trips back (we were lucky and made it twice this time). Service is consistently good, the food is outstanding whether it's breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and one of their superb homebakes - you'll be spoilt for choice. Using local produce it's a delight to visit and we're assured of quality every time. Never disappoints.

We had decided to try this restaurant after checking the menus, as my OH doesnât eat any vegetables what so ever and and it can be hard to find somewhere that he has a choice other than fish & chips, chicken goujons or burger, he settle for the fish cake starter but had to yet again choose a burger as everything else had veg somewhere in it, both our starters were nice, I had the chicken spring roll, he did find the burger turned out dry by the time he got half way through it, but it was very tasty, I choose the chicken & beef in peppercorn sauce with a side of salad instead of the potatoes, although the food was, as I say nice it was the service that let this place down, there was three members of staff on the evening we were there and although pleasant, none of them went out of their way to see if we were happy with everything, the bill was asked for and left on the table, we put the debit card on the saucer but nobody made any move to come and take our payment, two members of staff walked past a few times, so we headed to the bar area to pay, maybe this is what you are suppose to do but if they had said when they brought the bill we would have known what to do, we were not asked if we enjoyed our meal or if everything was ok, so sorry guys but we will not be back. Hi DavidI am so sorry to read about your awful visit with us that has left you and your OH feeling like you would not come back. Actually sorry I have just read your review and can't see why you have left just so unhappy.I have spoken to my staff and let them know I am disappointed that they didn't check if you were enjoying your meal as we pride ourselves on doing this. We do not rush to get customers money but perhaps they should have noticed your card or you or your OH could also have just requested they bring the card machine to your table. If you had let them know your OH didn't like vegetables or if your OH had said himself we could have done most of the dishes without vegetables and offered something in their place. Sometimes it is only a matter of asking rather than writing!!!!I hope maybe you read your review back and realise it is a little harsh to say you won't return due to a couple of tiny things and we prove to you next time we do welcome everyone to our restaurantNicky CaugheyDirector
