An absolutely incredible pub on the Coastal Road in Fanore, Ireland. The food is out of this world for pub food. Beautiful, artistic, inexpensive and of the highest quality. We had better food there than we did at several high end restaurants in Dingle. P
We visited O'Donohue's on the coastal road from Fanore after spending the morning on Fanore beach. We were served various dishes which satisfied hungry palates. The outstanding dish was "Pan-Fried Fresh Cod " served with mussels, crab claws and prawns plus a bed of Mash Potatoes with other vegetables. The dish was outstanding.

Linnanes is a real gem , run by owners who are present all the time and who go the extra mile to really care for their business. It is terrific for seafood, has a great atmosphere and is reasonably priced. Well worth a trip and well done to owners and staff !

We're foodies who searched out amazing restaurants during 3 week driving tour in Ireland. THIS IS IT - THE BEST OF THE BEST. Its been joyously owned for generations of one family. Cathleen Connole is a fun, gracious host with lots of wonderful stories. They grow, forage, and produce their own foodstuffs locally. Handmade - you'll taste the love. I posted photos of some of the most amazing dishes. Organic, farm to table, and committed to environmental sustainability. Oh and if you are really really lucky you might get to pat the gorgeous well behaved pups that live next door with Cathleen. With three weeks of special lunch and dinners this experience wins the BEST OF THE BEST. I wish I had bought one of the coolest art pieces on the wall too. The meal, the conversations, the wine!!! and the atmosphere will stay with you in your dreams. If you visit the Cliffs of Mohr, keep going past the tourist trap restaurants in the town and stop here. Its heaven.

We honestly just stopped in because we couldn't find anything else open. It's not the type of place I would usually stop it looks like it's attached to a tire or mechanic shop or something. But this is one of those do t judge the book by the cover things. My wife ordered a waffle and bacon and I got a sandwich and chowder. All the food was excellent. We decided to grab a couple brownies to go and they were amazing.

The elegant formal restaurant at Gregans Castle Hotel has commanding views of Galway Bay and The surrounding Burren landscape. Award winning cooking from acclaimed Chef David Hurley who in both 2014 and 2015 was awarded Best Chef in the Munster Region.
Myself and my wife went for dinner for my birthday. The surroundings are nice and the service was good. But I have to say I was a little disappointed with the food. We ate from the a la carte menu. We have eaten in many 1 to 3 Michelin stars restaurants throughout the world and Iâm afraid this is way off getting a star. The bread was ok. Appeared to be sourdough. But it was accompanied with what was suppose to be classic Irish butter. But it was the most unusual butter I have seen. More like a set cream which had no buttery taste. I do not think it enhances the flavour of the bread. Amuse bouches were only ok. The duck liver parfait was very nice and one of the better dishes. The rhubarb accompaniments really worked well. The langoustine starter was tiny and the dashi sauce over powered the tiny langoustine portion which was of average quality. I have to say we had a potted shrimp with chive and cream sauce with sourdough toast for our lunch earlier in the day in a cafe in limerick and it was way better. The fois gras was ok. Again some of the accompaniments didnât go with it. The duck dish was ok but again there were way too many things and flavours on the plate which did not enhance the duck. The lamb dish was average. The Boulanger part was by far the best and tasted lovely but the piece lamb in herb crumb was bland and tough and the tarragon in the herb crust over powered it any taste it had. The desserts were better and my cherry soufflé tasted and looked nicer. It was nice and airy as a soufflé should be but I donât think it needs the creme anglais. Perhaps it was a bit over sweet. My wife had the strawberry and rice pudding dessert which was nice but did need some more acidity to cut through the sweetness. I think in my opinion the main element of the savoury dishes need to be greatly improved and less is more.

Had dinner here twice and the food made us come a second time. Beautiful cozy restaurant and amazing black pudding appetizer. Beef and lamb from the family farm and overall good clean farm food. Both times certain items listed not available and second time no one went over specials. The big downfall of the restaurant was the Mediocre service, efficient but not warm or welcoming. Still would come back for the good local cuisine. Hello Pam.Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. It is very important to us as it shows what we are doing right and more importantly where we can improve. I am very sorry that you were dissapointed with the service but please be assured that we will be taking steps to remedy this and to avoid a re-occurance in the future.Kind RegardsPaul

We expected a pub dinner and instead received a beautiful dinner which was prepared with care. The seafood chowder was excellent. On this trip through Ireland we have made a game of comparing chowders, and Monkâs ranks up there with the top. The most happy surprise was my goat cheese tart, made with locally sourced goat cheese and boasting a homemade pastry shell. Pub? Not at all! The serving staff, by the way, was friendly (in contrast to a few previous reviews).
