Located in the heart of Peoples Park central Yangon, The Yangon Restaurant is a beautifully designed restaurant with park views serving Modern European Cuisine.
We ate there on our evening of arrival to Myanmar , after a long intercontinental flight. It was a dinner set for our group (23 attendance) with preset menu. The food was excellent. Well cooked and beautifully served. The service was first class! the place itself is beautifully decorated with delicate local classic art works. They have a very decent list of wine, reasonably priced (cheap) relative to the place. I'm an experienced traveler who eat in many top notch restaurants, this restaurant definitely was on a very high standard. Highly recommended!

Bringing a fresh approach to eating and drinking in Yangon, the restaurant serves a simple French-inspired cuisine revolving around selection of beers, affordable qualitative wines, as well as hot & cold tapas, sharing platers and large selection of mains
I tried the asparagus soup and duck brest.Soup had little flavour and was disappointing. This is a 5 star establishment. The duck brest was a few pieces of very chewy duck on something gluggy. You can see in the photo.I have at 10 times better duck at a corner store from the freezer.Highly disappointed for the price and expectation. Thanks but only drinks next time.

"With uninterrupted sweeping panoramic views over Inya Lake, guests can indulge in the very best of local delicacies, asian favourites and western classics in an authentic open market setting".
One of the best brunches in Yangon. On the expensive side, but definitely worth the money. The only downside is parents not controlling their children who are allowed to run around between people that have paid premium to have a lovely brunch. There should be a separate venue for children as it ruins the ambiance you've paid for.Dear ReneMacQ, Warmest greetings from Melia Yangon!Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly happy to read that you enjoyed with the variety and quality of our international buffet breakfast, offering a immense variety of options for our universal customers, as well as the services provided by our staff.I and the entire team are looking forward to welcoming you back for another visit. I have reserved a table there during Thingyan festival, the restaurant accepted the reservation but did not informed us that it will be closed during the festival. In the end after we visited Shwedagon pagoda, we took a cab down to this restaurant and in the end we noticed that the restaurant is dark and it paste a banner outside the gate to notify people that it will only open on the 18 Apr 2018. A total waste of our time and they should have highlighted to customer that they will be closed during Thingyan festival and so people will not made a waste trip down to the restaurant.

This review will seem mixed or contradictory. While the view at Garden Bistro is beautiful and I always had reasonably good service while sitting outside. And the dim sum here is very good, at least what I have ordered. However, the one time I decided to sit indoors at Signature restaurant, the service was terrible. First I had to wait a long time to just get tea, then one of my orders was not served hot, when in the past it has been piping hot. (But I did not say anything). What happened next was not expected from a place like this which usually has good service. My two orders of dim sum were sitting on the next table (untouched)for close to an hour, of course by then I did not want them. I must say there is a great contrast in the service in Signature restaurant and at the Garden Bistro. The service at Garden bistro is so much more prompt and professional. A very strange experience!

Café Sule brings to Yangon a confluence of flavours and cultures, presented by a team of international chefs. Enjoy the finest in Asian, international and comfort food cuisine at the rejuvenated Café Sule.
Cafe Sule provides the best breakfast buffet of any hotel I have ever stayed in. It is consistently excellent - have sampled over numerous stays in past few years. This is evidenced by the number of non residents coming for breakfast.Lunch and dinner are equally good and great value. The Indian food is some of the best available. We recently had a large dinner party of multinational guests who all had very different orders- service was excellent and all dishes were exceptionalDear frequenttraveller351, Thank you for choosing to dine with us at Sule Shangri-La Yangon and for taking your time to share your feedback with us .We look forward to the opportunity to welcoming you back soon and hope that Sule Shangri-La Yangon , remains your choice of hotel on all your future visits .

Escape the bustle of Yangon, and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, a light meal or the Strand High tea, a long-standing tradition that harks back to Myanmar's Colonial past. Using only the freshest ingredients, sourced at grass roots level to maintain the auth
I won't talk about the good things, as they are pretty obvious from the ratings here. It is lovely, classy, high ceilings and great food, whether local or international, good service, very fluent in English. Here is where I had my best mohinga ever, 5 years ago. OK, the first problem is that the mohinga is not on the menu anymore. Second problem is the ridiculous waiting times. Even with only 4 tables with customers, our quick lunch took us just short of 2 hours. One just needs to check here how often the term "slow" occurs on the reviews. And with so much criticism they seem to be ok with that dragging pace. Not cool. Be prepared to waste time waiting. Third is the creditcard machine that only works in US dollars, even when the local currency is kyat and my own currency back home is NOT US$. And finally the 4th problem is the exorbitant prices. No more mohinga, sluggish service, time wasted and not a decent card machine that will charge in local currency, these prices are much more than the real value of a meal here.

Why go all the way just to sample good cuisine, when there is fine dining in certain good restaurants in Yangon. I did have dinner there, and was shocked when the bill was presented to my friend. Nourish Cafe is a plant-based cafe serving filling and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We offer healthy take-away options all day long. Come and try our veggie burger, it is delicious!
Found this place via TripAdvisor and glad we came. Understated location at the end of an alley (left hand side) off a main thoroughfare. Glass door frontage in small building complex in the back. Cosy atmosphere (we observed regular local expat following) and special with the limited available vegan restaurants. We followed the dish and drink recommendations by the counter staff and enjoyed the offerings. Orders are placed at the counter and generally is self-service. Wifi is available. Air conditioning too but a bit on the warm side. Still, a recommendation by us. Lunch total was $20 for two.

Fine dining place in a beautiful location on the border at the Inya lake in Yangon with a very green garden and great view to the sunset.
I canât believe how amazing this place is.For me, a great restaurant is made even more special when the staff believe what they are selling and the SEEDS team ooze pride in what they are doing. This isnât just the best restaurant in Myanmar, itâs presumably one of the best in the region and it really deserves the high praise it receives.Every moment of your stay is carefully considered to ensure that your expectations are surpassed. Knowing that people who have never been will get to enjoy this place for the first time is just so exciting.Place a booking and enjoy every second.Dear Stewart,Thank you very much for your compliments, we will pass it to our team, they are our key and with them together our customer should feel comfortable to enjoy our property, drinks and our food. Thanks again and hope see you again at SEEDS, Lucia and Felix
