We were a table of 9 celebrating a birthday and were served by a very polite gent with service being great. The menu has some good choices and well priced steaks, burgers, ribs etc....the porterhouse was just a bit out of my price range! Portions were of a good size and food was delivered to our table in good time. Ribs were excellent and I could see that the steaks were too. Lots of seating and a friendly warm atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

Poorte Jäntje is a German restaurant with fresh, local and seasonal changing food. It is known for its Tapas - small appetizers you can pick from the menu. After dinner, the place is also good to have a drink at the charming bar. In the summer its possibl
We had a long table for 9, and ordered a couple bottles of a wonderful Merlot . We ordered salads and they come plated beautifully. I got medallions of pork with cream of mushroom sauce and roasted potatoes. Very hearty entree and delicious, but the pork was a bit dry. Some people got the ribs and I will say they were very tender, meaty, moist and fell off the bone. Yum.Very friendly service and it was great to get together with friends.

If you just want a quick, simple, old fashioned bite your at the right spot here! This old Dutch classic environment brings back memories from the seventies. The interior, exterior...well.. its dated and old fashioned but hey... that has also something romantic in it right? The food is what you can expect. Simple food, good food. Nothing fancy but easy. the old fashioned bowl of vegetables on the table and the choice of 3 kinds of sauses with your meat; pepper, mushroom or... well you know. French fries or patato wedges and a small portion of the basic salad on your plate. The deserts are... you never guess: Dame blanche, sorbet with canned fruit and whipped cream. By the way.. they have a nice terrace to!

I went to 't Rimpelt with a work colleague that lives in the area. The place was very pleasant, the staff was extremely friendly, and the food was excellent - cooked to perfection with very fresh ingredients. Apparently the chef learned to cook from his mother, and she still checks up on him to make sure he's doing it the local Dutch way! I had the mustard soup (excellent), and the ox steak (again cooked perfectly, not overly salted and very tasty). For dessert I had ice cream with a local egg liquore and raisins - sounds a bit strange but typical for the area and very good. The local beer (Brand DubbelBock) was great. Service was also fantastic - just the right amount of attention while allowing us to converse, and the price was quite reasonable. I will go here again if I'm in the area!
