Great food, both Vietnamese and international. Itâs good to be able to have a good steak with fries or delicious spaghetti bolognese. Seafood buffet on Saturdays is gargantuan. Breakfast is very good, croissants are real ones, with butter, like in France!Sunshiniukas Thank you for the taking the time to share your feedback here on Trip Advisor, we're always so glad to hear when guests enjoyed our food as much as you did. If you're in Vung Tau, you really should take the time to try Bistro 9, and if you have eaten here but not recently, it's new and improved. I've eaten here a number of times and have been pleased to very pleased with the breakfasts (including their famous Eggs Benedict), panini/baguette sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and desserts (very nice chocolate mousse). The restaurant has outdoor patio seating and is located on a quiet side street (although maybe it's busier there in the early morning?) in the original part of town, so eating there can be an overall pleasant and somewhat unique experience for Vietnam, not just a good meal.Thank you Very nice rewiew weldone on describing our Bistro We did put a lot of work to get that restaurant to this stage and it's nice to see this kind of appreciation from our guestCheers Jean Francois

My partner and myself found ourselves at Glenn & Trangs place via a recommendation from Robert Taylor from The museum of Worldwide Arms. We had a great experience, many cold beers and food like mum used to make. I went for the western Hamburger for lunch, Surf & Turf for dinner and a cheese and ham omelet one morning for breakfast. Even had a meat pie and chips with an icy cold beer. My vietnamese partner gave a big thumbs up for the asian food as well. The Long Tan tour was extremely knowledgeable, (Glen knows his stuff) and well worth the money. He gave us some maps that help understand who where and why.Glen also gave us some tips on other places of value to visit and things to do in Vung Tau. I just wish i had planned to stay longer.Definately put Tommy's Bar and Vung Tau at the top of your Vietnam to do list

A great little find in Vung Tau serving a wide range of international and local dishes with icy cold beer. It is just around the corner of Phan Chu Trinh st and Luong Van Can st .Next to Hong Binh apartments, open 7.30am until 10.30 pm. Mainly frequented
Belly's is one of the most popular ex-pat (Kiwi/Oz/Pohm) bar-restaurants in Vungers. It caters for many tastes providing, snacks, brekkie all the way to your favourite Sunday roast from the pastures of NZ. You get two special things here, a hearty welcome from Belly and a cold beer from very pleasant staff. Beers are cheaper if you buy a card and super cheap if you are lucky to win the weekly draw. Belly also has a well stocked mini-mart around the corner for your Vegemite, Weetbix and other antipodean iconic needs - haha

Prior to coming back here after several years I was told not to order any Vietnamese food as the Western dishes were what this place was all about. Fast forward to early afternoon recently when I found myself again at Lucy's, that according to those in the know (yawn) was not as good as it used to be because the place was now being run by new owners. Gasp ! Shock !! Horror !!! Fear not good people, the beers are still cheap, plentiful and icy cold, the view from the raised deck overlooking the harbour and fishing boats, still enchants and the dish I ordered (Beef Noodle Soup) was excellent. Fresh, steaming hot, with a full flavoured broth and chock full of fresh vegetables and strips of succulent beef. Lucy's is located opposite the 'old' ferry terminal and it's a place still worth a visit. Only one itsy bitsy teenie tiny drawback for me on the day, the waitress looked hopelessly forlorn and seemed as miserable and despondent as a mental patient who has just smelled her own poop. Apart from that - all good.
