We wanted to get a nice filet mignon and one of our customers suggested Fanny's.Placed a take out order to picked on way home and got 2 filet dinners, curry chicken, wontons, salads and cheese cakes for dessert.The filets had a delicious brown wine/mushroom sauce on top with one order having special rice and the other mashed potatoes. OutstandIng!The curry chicken was just right with the amount of curry and the wontons were crispy, with a good sauce and tasty filing.The cheesecake that may have been made with goats milk ( not sure) was not a hit as it was dry and had an off taste.Overall the dinners were excellent and the fillets were much better than nearby La Carbonera.We did the whole order over WhatsApp by the way.Really wonderful experience. Delicious, beautifully cooked trout with fresh-tasting salad and delightful dressing, plus yucca fries, crunchy outside light and soft inside. Great meal. A steak dinner was also enjoyed, with rave review. Service was impeccable with a very helpful server who spoke good English. An orange rosemary cake served warm, was wonderful, light and moist and an excellent, unusual dessert. Price was reasonable and comparable locally. Nice decor, very comfortable and attractive. This restaurant also features great live music some weekends. Highly recommended!

I have to admit that giving this place 4 stars bothers me a bit, I wish I could give it 5 but there were a few cons'PROS: Menu not extensive but plenty of choices for a movie.Price: How in the world can you go wrong with a basket of burger, fries with soda AND a movie for $??? Food: Not the best burger I ever had, but it didn't cost $12 either. Fries were standard, good, hot, fair quantity.Drink: National beers $1.75, no discount for swapping from soda.Ambiance: Nothing special but clean, well lit and open. No negatives.Movie: HUGE screen, especially since the last row is only 12-15 feet awayCONS:Service: Admittedly, finding attentive service in Panama is rare, and this was better than most but still, I had to leave the theater to get a 2nd beer ... 10 minutes after motioning to the waitress that I wanted one when she cleared the empty baskets. Has to be the easiest money for a restaurant to make (pop a top, make $1.03!) and NO-ONE gets it. I did speak to the manager and service did improve afterward.Theater: Seats (about 12) are fairly uncomfortable (with the exception of the permanently reclined), bottom is a bit short and the seats angle forward. Would be better if they were about 2" lower in the back. Picture was projected clear and stable onto a smooth white wall. Sound was loud enough but bass was over-driven, I don't think the speakers were quite up to the task.Bottom Line:I enjoyed both the meal and movie and I will definitely return and bring friends with me. I have wanted to visit for a few weeks now (just heard about it) and was hoping to give it a rave review, we need more choices here in Volcan. We went for lunch, the prices are a little bit high, but the food and attention to customers is great, you also have a lot of arcade style games so children can go play and let you rest while you eat.It's a big place, so if it's full food may take a little. It was not our case, from the time we order until the food arrived was between 10 to 15 minutes.
