It is the second biggest town in Bergstraße district in Hesse, Germany. Since 1994 it has also borne the title Brundtlandstadt, as it has been taking part in an energy conservation pilot project. In 1968, the town hosted the eighth Hessentag state festival.

I dined here with family friends for Christmas Day dinner. The menu consisted of a special menu for the Christmas holiday and the regular menu. The Xmas menu consisted of soup, salad, main dish and dessert plate starting around â¬26. Two in our party ordered the steak with mushroom sauce, which they enjoyed, my friend ordered the duck with crispy skin and these dishes from the Xmas special menu were served with veggies or a potato side. I ordered the steak with pepper sauce (18CHF) off the regular menu which came with potato croquettes and a salad. My steak was very tender and had very good taste. The atmosphere was nice as the entire restaurant was decorated for the Xmas holiday season. The service was good, but slightly over-worked due to the constant and full restaurant guests. There is also a small banquet room and a larger more open air dining experience room. Overall, the meals with beverages costs roughly â¬100 and it was a good choice. I have previously eaten at this restaurant a few time before and I would recommend for lunch or dinner. A popular place for the more mature locals and entire families. There is a large outside patio seating area in good weather and the staff is friendly. The restrooms were generally clean.

I made it back here after one year for my holiday meeting with friends for dinner. I am still very impressed with the spaciousness of the restaurant with separate rooms and bars and the crowd is pretty cool!We received really slow service after we ordered our beers. It took at least 15 minutes after ordering our beer before we received them. This was not acceptable as the place was not crowded during our visit. A table arrived and ordered after us, yet still received their cocktails with sparklers in them before we received our beer. We ordered salads and pizza. The pizza I had this year was as salty as the one I had last year. It was a disappointment that the amount of salt had not been reduced.I would certainly recommend a visit for the atmosphere and drinks (hopefully faster service), but the food leaves much to be desired.

Es gibt das Essen von einem sehr ansehnlichen und vielseitigem Buffet (wie der Name schon sagt).Das Mittagessen für die gesamte Familie war von der Qualität und Geschmack her nicht überzeugend. Das Gemüse war mit einer FertigsoÃe übergossen, das Schnitzel war eher sehr günstig und geschmacklich eher fettig. Die Pommes waren gut, der überbackene Gemüse-Kartoffelauflauf schmeckte nach Fertigmischung. Preislich eher im mittleren Bereich.Für die Kinder ist ein Spielbereich vorhanden.Frühstück bzw. Kaffee und Kuchen kann ich nicht bewerten - sah aber gut aus.
