African Oasis, Your Favourite and Tasty Continental Restaurant by The Beach at Bahari Dhow Beach Villas.
Stayed at this resort. You can see my review of it itself on TripAdvisor. This restaurant serves as the breakfast venue for hotel guests and since it is on the beach front it also offers meals to passing by beach goers. The place is a little dated in terms of decor and some of the beach furniture could be fixed and cleaned better. The main area under a gazebo is dark and also could use a makeover. But generally the place is clean. The staff are friendly and helpful but the service is incredibly slow. We had breakfast here twice and the full breakfast is a triumph! We also opted to have lunch here one afternoon. We went for the local special (grilled taffi fish) and this too was incredibly good. For starters we had the samosas. We waited the better part of an hour for our starters and they also came AFTER our main meal. Both were freshly prepared and good but the kitchen is slow. We were there and the ONLY two guest ordering meals. We had cocktails one early evening. This is not a place used to making them so the quality wasn't very good.Go here for a hearty breakfast and for the grilled taffi. But be prepared to wait.

We came late at night and they obviously ran out of food. I ordered octopus in curry sauce and parsley potatoes with salad, and they brought me few pieces of potatoes and ... rice. That was weird to say the least. I told waiter to bring me salad and I don't really know how to eat rice with potatoes at the same time. So he brought me salad and ...started scraping rice of my plate. I am.not joking..he was actually standing next to me bended over my plate scraping rice into separate plate .Then I called him.back to try that octopus. It was pure rubber impossible.to eat. I had octopus in couple very local places for as little as 1$ . And it was the same story everytime : non edible. These guys pretend to be a touristy place where tourists who know good food have different demands . But they are still a little.dirty local place that charges 10 times more only because they are at the beach. I asked for my money back and here a real concert took place. First manager said ok, then another dude came and said that they can't give me back my money as i ate potatoes and salad. I said ok, substract the salad and give me my money back for that octopus. Then the second guy says ok, but the first changes his mind and said no. Anyway..If you want a good octopus go to Cocos. And remember local doesn't always mean good. In this case local means dirty, bad food, bad service, rude locals . Stay away

Iâve driven passed Dianaâs on several occasions & always wondered what the attraction was. Itâs situated in a supermarket car park overlooking the main Diani Beach Road. I have to say that when I did eventually venture inside I kicked myself for having left it so long. Itâs absolutely charming, the staff are so friendly, the service was good & I can safely say I had the best cappuccino in town here. The location quickly became a selling point and I actually enjoyed watching the hustle & bustle of Diani beach from the cool shabby chic interior of Dianaâs. Will definitely be back!

You'd be hard pushed to find a more romantic place to dine than Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant, set inside an ancient coral cove and lit by warm candlelight. The a la carte menu specializes in seafood, international & traditional cuisine and is accompanied
We loved the spectacular location in a real cave under sea level. Through the opening the stars are shining above you and the dimmed lights are making it a romantic and special place. The food was good and the price high for Kenya but reasonable for the location. We appreciated the free taxi service from and to our cottage.
