Having recently moved to Kudelstaart we decided to try our most local restaurant. Although located on a beautiful lake, the restaurant does not have any views apart from the road. Lake view seats would greatly enhance the attraction of the establishment. The restaurant has a really great homely feel about it. The waitresses are extremely attentive and friendly with the owner also involved in the serving etc. Even though it was our first visit, and that we are obviously not from the area, we were looked after in a fantastic way. The food we chose was a set menu of 5 courses. Each was prepared really well and provided a superb blend of Dutch and French cuisine. It was of a good volume and very tasty. We met the chef and could certainly feel her enthusiasm. All in all a real nice evening meal and we left feeling one of the family. We will definitely return - a lot!

We have eaten here several times. The location is amazing. The food is always very good. However, on this occasion the service was incredibly slow. For example, we waited almost an hour between finishing the starter and receiving the main course. With one more waiter/waitress on duty the service could have been infinitely better. We will return but I just hope the customer service will have improved.

When we arrived staff made a mistake with a present, which was not intended for us. We absolutely had no problems with it, but nonetheless they insisted we had a drink on the house as appologies for the mistake. That's what we call excellent service! The food was great with original touches and also the location is beautiful. We will certainly return here!

The food is very well prepared, as the quality of the ingredients is excellent. The oysters as starter were very good indeed. Not the 'snot' you sometimes get. The other dishes were well prepared (eg codfish), however the sauces/dressings/mousses were very dominant in the taste. Ambitions of the staff is high, and no doubt it will receive a star one day. However still a long way to go before it is truly excellent.

Eight of us ate here last night and we all had a perfect evening!The atmosphere was lively but not too noisy. The staff were fantastic, helpful, polite and took care of us.The menu choice was interesting and the food delicious! Portion sizes were huge!Three courses with wine and other drinks came to just under â¬50 a head.We are from the UK and our friends live quite close by. We will definitely return the next time we visit Holland!

Nice house (little like Martin Berasategui) on lake shore (although no view, at least inside â there is a terrace too). Beautiful interior design. 6 course chefâs menu and a la carte. Everything was good in the menu. Good service, smooth pace â not too quick but not too slow either. Iâve visited many Amsterdam Michelin starred, and so far this is a clear winner.

Perfect location for a meal on a nice summer evening. Large riverside terrace where ample room between tables is found. Inside seating if preferred. Food was well presented and of good quality. Plenty of waitresses to be seen.Please note we did not stay at the hotel.

If you want to go somewhere, knowing you can just have a carefree evening with excellent food and awesome staff, this is your place. The staff is really well trained and you can ask them anything while given an detailed answer and amazing hospitality. I have no words but perfection for the food. Everything is made with so much love, and thats exactly the taste of every dish. Next time, because there definitely will be a next time (and next, next and next time) we will try the tasting menu, as itâs multiple courses. The food is so awesome so why not (almost) have it all? The best spare ribs in Europe, maybe the world! With such a great chef in the kitchen it wasnât a big surprise the food was so delicious but it exceeded our expectations, such a beautiful place with wonderful service and friendly staff! This restaurant has a great terrace overlooking the Amstel - enough shade when sunny and heaters when the weather starts to turn cooler. A very pretty location.Looks nice inside too, with good music.Service is pleasant and patient (they had to return several times to take our orders because we were chatting so much!)The food is good - a nice uitsmijter (with bacon!) and excellent cheesecake.
