Reviews on International food in Torquay, England, United Kingdom. Mild ocean breezes, sandy beaches and swaying Torbay Palms give the small English town of Torquay a distinctively Mediterranean feel. More than just a beach spot, Torquay boasts an enormous coastal aviary and the famous Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves. Agatha Christie spent most of her life here, and the city is now home to multiple film companies. With such a rich literary history, Torquay may be the perfect place to finish writing that novel or screenplay, or just to relax with a good mystery.

Terra Marique is a family-run vegan restaurant that can be found on the lower ground floor of 98 Union Street, Torquay. It is tucked away a little from the high street but can be found across from Halifax and next to the old BHS. The restaurant is fully l
Chanced upon this restaurant and went in for lunch. As a vegetarian I really appreciated the wide range of meals I could choose. Lovely waitress who was very welcoming. Tasty food. Nice coffee. Omnivorous husband very happy with his food also.

Visited for breakfast whilst on holiday as it had been recommended to us. We both had eggs benedict, one with bacon and one with smoked salmon. Friendly service and tasty food. It is slightly pricey but for the quality of food, definitely worth it if you fancy treating yourself. Thank you for your great review. We are glad that you enjoyed your breakfast with ushere at Below Decks.

One world is a unique beach bar cafe & restaurant sunk down into Abbey Park, off Belgrave Road. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating on a beautiful sunny south facing terrace. Live music Wednesdays Fridays Saturdays and Sundays Mouth watering food from ou
Came here for Sunday lunch with the family. The band wasnât playing until the evening and according to my sister in law that one of the main attractions that made their cost a week earlier so incredible. Nonetheless, we were here for the food.We found the menu somewhat limited (again all the accolades on trip advisor and FB led to expectations). What we worded was good but no exceptional, and for us, one visit is enough. We had the miso aubergine (eggplant) with couscous- seemed very sparse with only 4 1 inch pieces of eggplant, some sauce, half a cup of couscous topped with some puffed vermicelli (or similar) & scant change from 10 quid: the mussels in garlic & cream/wine - this was a largish serve at almost 15 quid but as the mussels are so small, nothing to scoop the broth up with so whilst happily consumed all still left with almost a full bowl of broth which lacked nuance (garlic all the way); the plaice on the other hand was fabulous with Cavlo Nero & roasted spuds- still a bit exy cost wise for what we got but this dish seriously good food. The resturant was maybe at 1/3 capacity yet table service relatively slow. When paying at the bar (you pay when ordering) , we literally had to argue that what they were charging was incorrect as they had undercharged by almost 50% (!!!). Definitely worth at least one visit so decide for yourself as regardless of our experience still fabulous to have new resturant on the Torquay scene and one that seemingly is responsive to feedback and is evolving to consumer needs.

We are an independent, local, family run cafe offering breakfast and light lunches. Our varied breakfast menu is served from 10:30 - 11:30. Our coffee is locally roasted and we also offer loose leaf teas and hot chocolate. Our tasty lunch menu includes he
Hidden in a little corner of Torquay town centre is this beauty of a cafe. With a small selection of breakfasts, it suited both my husband (traditional cooked breky) and myself (Smashed Avo, egg on sourbread). Suberbly clean, a lovely welcome from the owner and great homemade cakes. I highly recommend this cafe for families of all ages. A few games help keep my children entertained while our food was cooked. As a visitor to the area, I'm so glad we followed the trip advisor reviews and visited here. Lots of seating upstairs as well as downstairs. Thanks for a lovely breky. Thank you very much for taking the time to write us such a super review. We are glad to hear that you all enjoyed your visit to us, and hope that you are having a great holiday.

Small World is a dream in a pocket size. Our reserved but family atmosphere restaurant is one of the fewest places in Torquay where you can share absolutely everything. Because sharing is loving. And we love food. Quiet place where you can also peek at th
A really good choice of interesting tapas with authentic Spanish tastes and more . Lovely baked octopus with potatoes , good patatas bravas , four tasty huge prawns in garlic , chorizo baked with honey , stuffed peppers and more . We had a good selection with two portions a person and felt properly fed ! Portions are generous and good value . Wine list is well put together and also decent value for money At the end of the meal we were brought a surprise sweet treat and asked to guess the key taste - and tricked by our eyes . Great staff who made the meal more enjoyable HI Andyww18.Thanks for taking your time on writing such a lovely review :)We are very happy that you enjoyed it, however we can't stop wondering....what else could have we done to earn that missing star?
