The quality of the food is good for what you pay, the place is nice and you can spend some lovely time there with friends or even for an informal business dinner.I will come back since I liked the concept and the service.

Welcome to our restaurant. Discover old-fashioned cosiness and fair food in the center of the beautiful old water sports village of Grou. Enjoy a nice glass of wine or a nice beer, endlessly enjoying the sun on the lounge terrace. Be surprised by the vari
We were in Grou for my daughter's wedding, so about 18 of us suddenly entered this restaurant and asked if it was possible to feed us all at once. I have to say they coped very well with such a large group, the food was delicious with plenty of side salads, chips and lovely hot bread, the restaurant itself was cosy and relaxing, so much so we asked if we could come back again a few nights later and once again they did a great job, many thanks to the staff and cook who worked hard and helped to make us all feel so welcome, I would recommend this place to anyone for great value for money food ..you will leave extremely satisfied.Thank you for all of you coming. We are always waiting for you.

Welcome to our brasserie De Koperen Kees. For fine dining, good lunch, good wine and special beer. Local products.
During our recent overnight stay in Sneek, we walked past âDe Koperen Keesâ restaurant on the way to our hotel. Due to itâs clean and cosy appearance on the outside, we decided to return later that evening for dinner. You immediately feel the cosy, relaxed atmosphere the moment you enter the door and with the dimmed lighting, you get a real traditional pub style feeling. We hadnât actually reserved a table, but were offered the last available one by a very friendly waitress. At first, the menu seemed to be a little different than the usual ones, but with a short explanation from the waitress, it all became clear. We werenât disappointed! Both our starter(s) and main course(s) were delicious and presented well. Compliments to the chef!A most enjoyable evening with excellent food and friendly personnel. Definitely recommended and we would certainly return here if ever we visit Sneek again.

De Vrijheid offers their guests delicious and fair dishes. Made with the most beautiful local products. On a location where you can taste the seasons in all its elements. Where we are honoured to receive you. Not a classical menu, but more attention to pr
De Vrijheid is located right smack on the waterfront in Grouw and the best way to get there is have the restaurant pick you up by boat. There is a huge terrace and a small play area for the kids. The terrace has an amazing view but the tables are set up very basic with ugly tablecloths. They could do a lot more with this terrace. However the inside looks much better but in summertime you would want to sit outside. The menu covers local specialities and local produce and we actually had a nice dinner. I was especcialy impressed with the desserts. See pictures. However I had a hard time choosing what to eat as there were things like eel and local stuff I am not really into. But what I finally ordered was really good.

They were very happy to serve lunch at 14:30 in the bar or brunch in the restaurant. We choose the bar as we only wanted a light meal. At attractive high room with a high ceiling overlooking the water. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough to sit outside on the terrace. I had a tuna salad and my wife had a ceasar salad. Both came with a perfectly cooked poached egg.

Create your own lunch by picking three dishes from the lunch menu. They will be artfully presented on your own plate. Taste the soups, pick a salad and choose your fillers and we will prepare a delicious bread roll. If you wanta dish less or more, you can
The concept of trying as many dishes of the menu as one likes is great! And the selection of food from all over the world is - given the affordable price range - fantastic. Many of the small dishes are very well made and taste very good - but note that you cannot expect a culinary experience like in a Michelin star restaurant. The interior of this restaurant located in the old court house is a real treat - regardless of whether you sit in the main room or in the glass house style inner courtyard.Overall, this is a highly recommendable place for a slightly different restaurant experience. And whilst some of the dishes still have some room for improvement, it definitely makes for a great fun night as a couple or with family and friends.

Visiting from Amsterdam on a Monday, when many places are closed or open later in the day, Markt23 was a lively and delicious option for lunch. Both the outdoor patio and large indoor restaurant we're available for a limited menu. We had hoped for the brick oven pizza but that wasn't available for lunch so we tried the fish & chips, sandwiches, & nachos. We quickly forgot about our pizza cravings....everything was yummy! All eight of us were raving about our entrees - a good sign that this is a place that can satisfy a wide range of customers. Give em a try.

I'm sorry to say, but it was a disaster. It was the first day they were open to the paying public. Everything went wrong. They need to regroup and start over. Couple of tips: Have a MUCH smaller menu. Start with simple dishes; staple items for a pancake menu. Ask the local clientele what they like. I am not sure if anyone is interested in a "Fricandel Sausage with Pancake"?? Or some exotic African pancake?? Make it much more kid friendly. And your prices are too high. At least start with introductory prices for a year. Remember, you are not at the Waterfront!!! So you will depend on the local clientele!Have recipe cards. Have a week or two of soft opening while increasing the volume. Ask honest feed-back. Training, training, training!! Know your SWOT !!On opening day it looked like a bunch of clueless amateurs playing restaurant! Clean up your image; get serious and become professional!

Second time in two weeks for us to visit this restaurant. In the 'Friese meren region' one of the best restaurants to visit.Priced very reasonable. Starters between 12-15 euro. Main courses around 20 euro.Informal yet classy, authentic and quick service. Good choice of foods, wine knowledge is notable. As a starter I had the veal sweet read and the codfish as a main course.

restaurant stoof ( stew in englisch) is specialised in internatinal stewdishes. Take a trip around the world and be surprised by the flavours
Passed through Sneek during a weekend outing in Fryslân/Friesland and discovered this restaurant by sheer coincidence. Decided on the spot to risk it, and were rewarded with a surprisingly fine meal. Having had a buffet breakfast, we went for a salad meal, seafood for my wife and chicken for me. A full plate, a magnificent meal and able as well as friendly service. This place is a gem, a cut above most places - and that at a most affordable price. In a word, excellence!
