Husband went online to make reservations for a Valentine's night dinner. He was a little stressed because they didn't confirm with him for 2 days. Apparently the place was closed those 2 days and they didn't respond to the request until they returned. We arrived 10 min before our reservation. The cook was the only one there and he was nice, but I would think he would have been more comfortable in a bar/grill vs a French fondue upscale dinner. With no one else there, we were able to ask questions and order. However, as soon as other guests arrived, the cook was overwhelmed. About 40 min later help arrived, but she didn't speak much English. I asked for a 'to go' box and she was confused enough to send someone else over to ask me what I wanted. The second couple to arrive received their meal as we were done with ours. The menu describes the process of removing and eating the cheese at the bottom of the pot. It explains they will help you get it out of the pot and it's considered the best part of the meal by some. When I asked for help in removing the cheese crust on the bottom, the waitress took the pot and didn't bring it back. We waited for 15 min., Trying many times to get her attention with no luck. Finally, a young gentleman who arrived to help serve responded to our request to visit our table. I asked about the cheese crust and he responded that it wasn't possible. I told him the menu explained about it and he had no idea what I was talking about. It wasn't worth the time to go further, so we asked for the check. The dessert was sadly unexplained. The waitress said simply, 'it's self serve.' My husband so wanted to enjoy it, but the staff was to busy to help him. ( Chocolate fondue bar)For such a special night we loved the taste of the food, but the tight space, very warm room with poorly planned # of servers wasn't what we hoped for. We left thinking they truly missed their mark of offering something grand and special. Thanks for writing your review. We really appreciate it.

The Village table in Mountain Village up the free Gondola from Telluride is eclectic and amazing. If you come before 5:30 pm the entire tapas selection is 50% off.Among the entrees the Paella fantastic. The quail entree was a big portion but perhaps the best entree on the menu. The special short Ribs were among the best ever. We shared the napoleon desert which was a surprise and single espresso coffee was more like a double. The house Malbec wine was suprisingly full bodied and mature.
