Booked a table for our last evening in Split and we were not disappointed. Two members of our party are vegetarian and they had a number of dishes to choose from. We had struggled to find veggie friendly restaurants in Split, so this was accommodating for all. We had the cheese board to start and bread with hummus. The ingredients were fresh and the homemade pesto was very flavoursome. The main courses were thoroughly enjoyed all round with a delightful crisp wine to accompany. Reasonably priced, charming ambience and attentive service.

We had a fantastic meal at restaurant Tiffany. Feel-good hearty vegan street food in a small family owned diner right next to spectacular Peristil square.
I disagree with VeganHayleys review in September... Marta's Veggie Fusion is very allergy aware and anyone who has an allergy and does not tell the restauranteur before ordering is being irresponsible. Allergens like soya, mustard and gluten are written on the menus so easy to decide what to have, but staff are happy to advise on others. The place is great and Marta is very friendly and helpful. I explained what allergies I had and all the information was relayed back to the chefs and dishes I ordered checked as to suitability.I ordered falafel bowl with mix a la wok for my husband with a side of skin on fries to share. The food was faultless, very tasty, fresh and scrumptious and filling too. We ordered a tiramisu and lime cheesecake to take away as we were full after clearing our plates, packed separately as the cheesecake contained one of my allergens. The cakes eaten later sat on our balcony on our cruise ship with a cup of tea were fantastic.Marta's is a must visit place for all vegans and vegetarians in Split. Highly recommended.

Toro Grill bar gives you an opportunity to choose between fresh meat or fish cuts (beef/pork/chicken/tuna/shrimp...) from our showcase and we will prepare it for you immidiately! .. if you want something healthier- try some of our salads? You can sit down
An unusual establishment that serves fresh excellent quality grilled meats, tuna and burgers like a takeaway that you can eat outside.I had a tuna steak, hubby had children breast stuffed with ham and cheese. These were both exceeding excellent and far surpassed anything else we had eaten since being in Croatia.Highly recommended and probably going back tomorrow!

I did promise myself I would eat a traditional croation meal but this was too good to pass up. I had a delicious grilled salmon with celeriac and sweet potato mash and a salad. My friend had seafood risotto with sea urchin. She let me have a taste and it was out of this world. The portions were large and more than enough to fill us up. We then had an espresso which was also good. Do yourself a favour. Donât pass this one up if you get the opportunity

ARTiÄOK /a:titÊÉk/ as in artichoke, an edible flower, or as a pun which describes our restaurant philosophy - ART whether it is on a wall, or on a plate, and ÄOK which in Croatian refers to a small bite, a nibble or a munch. We're located in the historic
A small charming modern restaurant just at the edge of he old town. The menu is short and imaginative backed up by cooking with flair. Faultless service and comfortable dinning room. Very decent value for the quality of the food and Croatian wines. A meal so satisfy any Pope...(if you forgive the obscure Monty Python reference).

Portofino is a Mediterranean restaurant offering wooden grill top quality steaks ,fine pastas and inovative fish dishes. With intimate and cozy envirioment, we are dedicated to offer prime service, carefully chosen local wines and tasty local dishes with
The food was so very good. We had the duck and the tuna, both served with seasonal veg. Whilst the portion sizes weren't huge, it was more akin to fine dining than your average restaurant. Therefore, 5 stars because the quality of food was so, so good. We even had some dessert, which is a rarity for us. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're happy to pay for good quality cuts of meat. A lady who was vegetarian on a table nearby said that her veggie dish was also excellent.

Nestled within the heart of the 4th Century Diocletian Palace is our newest location - Fig Split. Our focus was in creating a new and vibrant dining experience, but still in-keeping with our travel inspired food mantra - something a little different. And
Just before we headed off to Split at the start of June I took a look at TA and saw that this restaurant was highly rated. After reading a rave review of their carrot cake I was determined to indulge in that. At first it looked as if we not be able to find it as the receptionist at our hotel could not tell us where it was located (despite it being only one lane away). Anyway returning from a tour we decided to have dinner so we did with me having a flatbread and my husband the pulled pork. Then it came to dessert. Alas no carrot cake as it turned out this in made in the restaurant and it had not worked out (it had been too hot and the icing had turned). Also with the kitchen being small they have to sometimes decide whether to make one thing or the other. No carrot cake for me then. Not daunted by that on the morning before we headed off to one of the islands we turned up looking for said carrot cake. Success they had it so that was a sweet breakfast for me. Off we went to Hvar (where the original Fig is).On the day we returned to the UK we had some time to push in before heading to the airport and as I had been unable to sample the fig sour at the restaurant in Hvar guess what? Yes back we came to Fig, Split for that fig sour and more carrot cake, which was even better this time. There was a table near us debating what to have and we were able to give them our recommendations. I am glad to say that they had their meal before we left and that they confirmed our choices were spot on.I understand that the person behind Fig may be Californian hence that influence on the food and more importantly that everything is freshly made. For me this (not so little) restaurant - as well as the lovely courtyard there is seating inside hit all the buttons - lovely location, friendly staff, excellent value, excellent food.
