This restaurant is in the dunes on the beach, a lovely location. It has indoor and outdoor space. Itâs definitely on the casual side, as a beach restaurant, but the food is very good and the service is friendly and efficient. Itâs not a quiet or romantic place, with lots of family groups and children running around, but for a casual, beach place, it has excellent seafood and is well worth a visit. The Wadden salad was delicious, as were the mussels. Iâd call in advance to check the hours, because they change weekly depending on the weather and the number of tourists around.

De pizza kwam precies op het gevraagde tijdstip, heet en zeer smakelijk. De volgende dag halve gegrilde kip en een lekkere goed gevulde salade, de frieten waren krokant en de prijs goed.

The name itself and the appearance looks quite up-standard. Nevertheless, I find it a bit cold and to much pretentious. We only had a coffee and gluhwein there, but it took quite some time before the only waiter had time for us (it was indeed busy). The gluhwein was nice though, although the pricing was a bit more than I would expect. I would say there are better places to go on Schiermonnikoog.

Location is nice, just right from the ocean even though you cannot see it from inside. No worries with a coffee or a tea, but dining is basic. They only have choice of one wine (on the sweet side), the gamba salad is the same as the salad wich comes with the satay, only with gamba's. With a little more fantasy and a little more effort this place could really stand out. Service is nice though.
