Restaurant is near hotel galo. Very comfortable, nice view for sunshine and sunset . Cataplana was interesting but different from traditional on big land . Smaller kind of fish and seafood

Totally innovative concept in the regional landscape. A unique menu featuring unique dishes using local produce in the company of "strangers". Great dining experience, which allows the socialization, exchange of stories and experiences, among strangers who at the end of dinner have the feeling they have always known. Staff very helpfull, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended to anyone who wants something out of the box.Dear Luis, it was a pleasure to welcome you and your friends to our table. Recommended by fellow traveller a stone's throw from our hotel. Offers speciality ales and delightful tapas. Portion sizes enormous. See photos! A labour of love for the owner, a chef who will bend backwards to give you tasty morsels and a very bubbly waitress. Went last night going again tonight. We visited here because of non existent service just down the road. Here, although only one member of staff front of house we were made immediately welcome and our drink order was taken right away. The recommended filet steak on a stone was excellent; succulent, tender and very tasty. The salmon steak and salad was OK, but this is real a meat eaters restaurant. The ambiance is a little quirky, but in keeping with the meat/western theme I guess. The steak was good value for money.

Went in here every day for a couple of beers just sat and watched the world go by very tranquil sitting outside inside great collection of Coca Cola pictures many I have never seen before just want to say hiya to the people there and churro as well loved the visit

Firstly a very nice looking restaurant and has been renovated to high standard.Visited the restaurant with my wife while on our holidays to Funchal. We are generally easily pleased and don't need to complain very often.......but we ordered garlic bread to share to start and it arrived untoasted, cold and butter not melted. That was changed and the replacement was toasted, hot and tasted nice. We had a bad feeling at this point that our main course might be disappointing, and we were correct. We both ordered T bone steak, mine medium but arrived rare, and my wifes was also under cooked. I embarrassingly explained to the waiter and he took the steaks away with apologies and had them cooked as we had ordered them. The same steaks returned 5mins later, but unfortunately they were really tough, my wife managed to eat most of hers, mine was not palatable. I've never returned a steak before and had it cooked twice so not sure if that was the reason why it was so tough. So unfortunately a poor experience for us, especially as we were very much looking forward to the evening. Goes without saying we won't be returning.

Our second visit to madiera and also my second reveiw of this restaurant. We as a family love it here fantastic food, friendly service with a personal touch,so welcoming thank you so much for our going home gift. We will definitely be returning.

We had heard about Lillyâs from a previous trip but had been unable to fit it into our itinerary! Big mistake!!!The restaurant is extremely relaxing very flexible and the food is outstanding! Do try the pre meal madeira wine - dry - it is a delight. We had the calamari, octopus for starters and the filet with mushrooms and RV for mains. Each were superb and the Alvarihno wine with it made our day! Stopped by here by chance passing through Santa Cruz. We had a great meal, really reasonably priced, with swift and friendly service. The boys were happy with the food (and the free WiFi!) and my husband and I were very happy with the food, cleanliness and atmosphere. Added bonus of a complimentary glass of Madeira.
